If it was not integrated into the alternator, the voltage regulator may have failed. I don't know where it is located in your car but if it is external, you may be able to find it by following the smallest gauge wire attached to the alternator backward. They are generally connected with 'quick-disconnect' crimped-on connectors.

check the E brake make sure it is disengaged then make sure there is fluid in the mastersylinder resevour if you are talking about the brake lights on the back of the car check the switch on the pedal under the dash

you may have to reset the computer. you can do this by unhooking the battery for about 30 minutes or go to a auto parts store and theyhave a scanner that can reset it with the push of a button
