Somebody will have to climb under the car, look to see where the leak is then replace the appropriate part. Good news is, if it is 'outside' the engine, which it sounds like it is, it is cheaper and easier than otherwise.

There will be a hole in the cooling system. Pressure teat to find the leak and have a compression test done to check for head gasket/cracked head.

Do I use 50/50 coolant or straight coolant on 2001 ford Taurus

I use straight coolant on my 01 Ford Taurus. I'[m sure you can get a way with a 50/50 mix in the summer months. You do not want to use 50/50 in the winter.

Why my coolant fluid keep running out

After you put it, turn on the car and see if it's leaking. Car must warm up first. If you don't see it coming out that might be because its going into the engine. Shut car off and check motor dip stick. Make sure it doesn't have water mixed with oil.

I dont have much heat in my 2001 ford taurus, can u help?i have replaced thermostat, checked for plugged heater core, and lines, coolant levels checked, not sure what to do next.

The electric cooling fan could be running all the time, or at least running more that it should, thereby not letting the engine reach normal temperature. There is a thermal switch that tells the fan when to come on. It is probably bad.

After flushing radiator for 1986 Ford Taurus, where do the coolant go? In the radiator or in the reservoir? And Do you have to idle with heat at full blast before adding the coolant?

Put the coolant directly into the radiator until it's full. Start the engine and run it, watching the fluid level. Keep the coolant within one inch of the neck. Fill the reservoir about half way when the radiator is full.

2001 ford taurus with check engine light on. code

Make sure you replaced the right one there are two sensor's for the coolant, one takes coolant temp and the other one runs the fans for the radiator. Both are located on drivers side of the block. 2 wire leads on each how ever both are different in sending readings to the computer. Both look just alike also. Just make sure you replaced the right one. Or replace both.

Ford taurus Wagon 2001 heater problem

Check your coolant level. If the antifreeze is low the water pump may not be able to pump enough of the coolant through your heater core. When the car runs faster it is able to pump more of the warm antifreeze to the heater core.
