Question about Toyota Cars & Trucks
My Toyota vista ardeo recently had problem with the d4 pump it was mixing oil and petrol and at the same time the oil was coming out through throtke board. i fixed the d4 pump but now no power it cannot rerve if u press the accelerator but its idling properly. please if the throtle board can be sorted for it to rerv and function properly.
It seems you haven't been taking enough care on your car up to the point the whole cylinder head is worn out leaking oil from the inlet means both the valve stamp seals,valveguides ,oil scrapper rings valves and timing belt worn out. The timing jumped making the piston hit the valves damaging the guides and seals, oil started to come into cylinder and during comp%ssion it is pushed through the valves to the inlet until it damanges the throttle body.the D4 pump is also faulty, low pressure if the car can't rev. Better do cylinder head service and buy another D4 pump before condemning the throttlebody

diesel is diesel oil.
Gasoline(petrol) and diesel oil? huh?
V50 sold here have gasoline.

D4 is a diesel engine.
which engine, ? exactly.
then fueling is wrong. (too much or too little and yours is too much)
find out why it leaks first. (flooding) one or more cylinders
find that out first.

If oil level is OK, then it is possible that the warning light pressure switch which is screwed into the engine oil pressure system is faulty and setting off light and needs replacing. There could even be oil leaking out of the switch. The switch is usually located near the oil filter and will have a wire connected to it.
If after replacing switch and light still comes on, check to make sure wire is not making contact with the engine because of cracked insulation or it could also mean badly worn engine bearings. It is unlikely to be the oil pump as these hardly ever fail.

if there are no other symptoms like valve lifter clatter or noise.. then is possible that the oil pressure is ok but that the oil pressure sending unit is bad .. you can have an oil pressure test done to make sure thats ok .. .. the sending unit jus screws in and isnt expensive .. another possibility is that sledge has formed and clogged the intake screen for the oil pump .. that can sometimes be cleaned out without removing the pan ... if the oil pressure is really low then its not a good idea to run the engine very much and especially not fast .. you can have a bad sending unit that operates only at very high pressures such as high speed .. so i wouldn't count that out yet ... if the engine has a history of not having timely oil changes or its been using low quality oil, i would suspect the sledge buildup ... if it has lots of miles then suspect a warn out or clogged oil pump .. an oil pump pressure test will tell you a lot and can be done topside .. ...

if its making any sort of metalic knocking noise then leave well alone ,could have been run out of oil or coolant hence funny noise and someone is trying to pass it on as it blow up before long and they dont want to get stuck with paying out on it

depending on the average ambient temp for your area
10w30 for low temps ---20w40 for medium temps and 30w 50 for hot areas. CD ,SF or similar ratings preferred. Check a shop catalogue for more information on the oil to suit your vehicle.
