Question about 1993 Dodge Dakota
Hi Linda, curious if you installed a new timing chain and are trying to reset your distributor. If so I would like to ask you if you have set to piston number one to Top Dead Center. Now if all of this is done and you have set the distributor to it original place then the timing should be set at 12 degrees when the engine is running. Good luck.

look under the hood on the fire wall on the passenger side of the car if its not there then try under the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle as far as what it looks like youll know it when you see it it protrudes out and it has a wire plug harness on it.

12= Standby memory power lost
27= PCM to injector failure
15 = No VSS reference
55 = Completion of fault code display
With the given codes and the way it is running I would say that you are having either a issue with the PCM ground and or the main connector to the PCM. Intermittent failure in the plug would cause these cascade codes with a misfire.
I would inspect the plug and make sure there is a good verifiable ground from the cab to the frame even to the transmission itself. The cabs of these trucks have notoriously bad grounding. Best to establish a new one rather than chase the old one and assume it is ok. Small gauge wire with terminals will suffice.
You may also be noticing that the volt and temp gauges go up and down slightly with the turn signal when it is activated? Radio may also freak out at louder volume settings if the ground in the cab is compromised.

I have a 93 dodge dakota pick up. When I turn the key I get nothing, The radio and the lights work fine. I had starter checked and the battery changed, It will run if you push it to start but not with the key.
