Replace it. if you look in the bottom of the door, you will probably find the parts that broke off or shavings of the plastic. I have never had any luck on fixing regulators. Some have worked for awhile, but still break again. I replace them all now. Not worth the time. The plastic is just to worn out.

If you handy, you most likely can repair this yourself. I have had this happen on two of my Auroras. The window regulators have a nylon part that retains the cable assembly. This part gets brittle as the car ages (really under designed) and the cable end pulls through it.

I have been able to modify the retainer by removing the nylon cover and slicing a little notch to hold the end of the cable. Need a picture here to really show how it's done. In any case, a couple of hour labor and it's fixed for free.

NO, IF REGULATOR GOES WINDOWS STOP WORKING ALL TOGETHER. IF WINDOWS ARE SLOW AND UNRELIABLE IT'S PROBABLY THE MOTOR.

Vibration in 92 pajero, rhf wheel area and can feel through steering wheel, select 4wd and vibration gone

suggest that you have the wheel bearings on that side checked
also check the cv joint or "U" joint in that side drive shaft
the indications are that when load is applied to the drive shaft , the worn section tends to centralize and put the shaft back in balance

89 pajero blows 30 amp fues near battery

Whatever is in the harness to the left of the battery that is smoking is shorting out. This is causing the fuse to pop as well as the wiring insulation to burn. Disconnect the battery negative cable and tear into that wire harness to find the culprit. Could be anything from friction breaking down the wire insulation to a rodent crawled in there and nibbled on the the wires and anything in between. If indeed there is an obvious bare wire or damaged wire, do youreself a huge favor and splice it cleanly with the correct splicing parts, as you don't want to half *** this and end up causing it to catch fire. Good luck.

How do you change headlight bulb on 03 Eclipse

First, make sure that the headlights and engine are off. Hot engine and hot bulb make changing it challenging. Reach behind the headlamp assembly and remove the electrical connector by pulling it straight out, towards that back of the car. Next, remove the large rubber seal that is on the back of the headlight assembly by pulling it off like the electrical connector. The electrical connector was in the center of the seal. There is a metal bar spring that goes across the back of the bulb assembly. It opens like a safety pin. Gently push down on the end of the metal spring. Once it is pushed down it will be out of its clasp and it will open automatically due to spring tension. The bar spring can be opened completely and then the bulb will come straight out the back of the headlamp assembly. To replace the bulb, first, make sure you don't touch the glass on the bulb since it may cause a hot spot and reduce the life of the bulb. There are 3 metal tabs that are on the bulb for the electrical connector. Position the bulb so that the "missing tab" is on the bottom. Put the bulb into position by aligning the 3 metal fingers on the outside of the bulb assembly into the openings on the back of the headlamp. They should seat fully. Once the bulb is in place you can close the bar spring by gently pushing down on the open end of the spring so that it engages the clasp. The spring will hold the bulb in place and you can verify seating by gently trying to move the bulb or by gently pushing and pulling the bulb. If it is seated then you can put the large rubber seal back on the back of the headlamp. Lastly you can pusht the electrical connector back onto the 3 prongs of the bulb. Don't push too hard and you might want to consider using some bulb grease to make it go on easier and to protect from corrosion. I changed both headlamps in about 3 - 5 minutes.

How difficult is it to change the passenger side low beam headlight

Lift up the hood and depending on which side of the car the headlamp is located these instructions will vary slightly. First there is a round plastic cap that protects the lens that needs to be unscrewed. Once you have gotten that off, there will be a plug (looks like an electrical plug) that is attached to the bulb. Unplug that. Now for the tricky part, there is a wire spring that you have to unhinge to get the bulb out. Do not unscrew the hinge from the car! Otherwise it will be a real pain to put it back on. Just push the section that is not screwed in and it will pop open like a safety pin. Be careful that the spring does not come flying off because it will fall down in a space that does not go through to the ground and the spring is flimsy. The bulb will not stay in without this wire! Take note how the spring is positioned so that you can remember how to put the spring back on the new bulb. If the headlamp is located on the side where the battery is, you may have to take one of the battery cables off to be able to get your hand in the space to put the new bulb in. I am a woman and I had to do this. Gingerly remove the bulb once the hinge is unfastened, put the new bulb in without touching the glass bulb part. Fasten the hinge back down (very tricky since you cannot see what you are doing), reconnect the plug to the new bulb, screw the cover back on and you are finished. Oh, don't forget to reattach the battery cable.
If the headlamp is on the passenger side, you are going to have to fight the washer fluid nozzle and the air conditioning hose. Follow the same directions as above but beware that the hand room on this side is even smaller than on the other side by the battery cable. You will have to do everything by feel. Good Luck!
