Check fluid level and condition of trans--cud be a bad torque converter--a pressure test may need to be done--automatics are very complex--may need an update done at a private shop with an analyser that does a data stream--get it test driven by the mechanic or aamco

Acura integra loss of power please help

I think that's normal. Just make sure the clutch is adjusted right. An inch or less free play at the pedal is usually what's called for.

There is no "break in" for the clutch-goes right to work as it's supposed to. What does your speedometer say?

Why does my clutch suddenly feel like its slipping on my merc capri xr2 turbo, engaging way to late after release of clutch pedal...hydraulic? mechanical? does it need a simple cable adjustment or flu

If you hit the gas in gear does it slip ? if its hydrolic and low fluid it wouldnt release the clutch you didnt put the year but i would have to go with adjusted at the tranny easy if thats the case also maybe the clutch is gone and theres a chatching point soyou dont mess up the flywheel those are spendy even used it engages the tranny starts the car and most importantly ballances the engine there for removing some metal could throw the balance way off

Started driving my car this morning and immediately noticed that the clutch in my 2006 550i bmw felt funny, like it was easy to push. When I try to give it gas when taking off in first gear it shudders...

your clutch is slipping. this may be caused by worn pressure plate, clutch disc or oil seal failure. there are other components that may require attention, such as the clutch master and slave cylinders and fluid level.

The mechanic tells me my clutch is slipping and needs rreplacing 85,000 km. How do I know if this is reliable info? I feel nothing

TEst for slipping clutch is travel about 30 mph. press clutch, shift to 3rd, rev engine pretty high and release clutch, at the time of clutch release, floor throttle. If the engine continues to race, clutch not grabbing porperly, if the clutch works properly, the engine will be slowed and engauged.
You can always get a 2nd opinon from another shop.

the 85,000 mile coutch worn out issue dependes entirely on driving habits of the operators.

My 2000 VW Jetta TDI suddenly lost power on the interstate. It seemed that it took twice the RPMs to keep the same speed. Is this the turbo kicking off? At lower speeds it feels as if it does not change...

Most likely its your transmission slipping You will need to have it checked by a mechanic if the rpm is double then it has nothing to do with the turbo, if it's a automatic it means the clutches are slipping or if it's a standard it means the clutch is slipping from being worn out or the pressure plate is wore out.
