Question about 2006 Ford F-150
I checked for debris in the tracks. I also inspected for any broken parts but could not see any. If there is a drive cable in the mechanism it must be broken on the passenger side.
At least you have a truck. Less parts to remove. The headliner has to come down. replace the regulator. Is comes with the motor. Most likely it is a plastic piece that has broken. Not the cable. If you want the roof to open, fix it. If not get it closed and seal it up.
