I'd say your motor is starting to fail. But a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers your car has section that covers this, and the trouble shooting section would probably give you a less general answer. And if the motor is failing, the repair manual gives the step by step instructions on how to remove and replace. Best of luck.

I have 1985 ford full size bronco changed the wiper switch it has a delay wipers still only work on fast is it the wiper motor that is bad the wiper motor gets wet alot

you need to check the wiring from the switch to the motor with a test light and make sure its switching form the column to the motor ok. you should have a permeant 12v from the battery a permanent earth and then probably 3 more wires, a return signal from the motor to the wiper delay module that tells it when to park and your 2 speed switches from the column- one for normal speed that will go live on first speed and one for fast speed that will go live on second speed- if you have a different number of wires let me know and I should be able to tell you how to test them.

2005 ford escape wiper and washer has no power. cant hear it engage when on but was working a week ago. how can i troubleshoot it and find the fuse

Hi Justin , Do you know what a SJB - smart junction box is and where it is located on you escape ?
Windshield Wiper Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) supplies power to the multifunction switch from the SJB fuse 25 (20A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position. The multifunction switch supplies power to the windshield wiper motor for the HIGH or LOW/INTERMITTENT input, depending on the multifunction switch position selected. The SJB also supplies power directly to the windshield wiper motor from fuse 25 (20A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position for RUN/PARK operation. When the multifunction switch is in the LOW, HIGH, or INTERMITTENT position, power is supplied to the windshield wiper motor, which moves the wipers off the park position. Once the wipers are off the park position, an internal switch in the windshield wiper motor switches to the run/park position which directs power to the wiper switch then back to the wiper motor. This maintains power to the windshield wiper motor to complete the wipe cycle. When the cycle is complete, the internal switch in the windshield wiper motor switches back to the park position. If the multifunction switch is in the LOW or HIGH position, power is supplied from the multifunction switch and another wipe cycle starts. If the multifunction switch is in the INTERMITTENT position, the windshield wipers remain parked until the internal relay in the multifunction switch supplies power to the windshield wiper motor. The internal relay supplies power after a time delay that is determined by the 1 of 9 intermittent switch settings.

My windsheild wipers stop in the up position on the delay setting but park all the way down when turned off. How do I fix this

You will need to diagnose this with a multi meter....on dark green terminal d at the wiper pulse board, with the wipers on any delay position, you should be reading .0005 Amps and 12 Volts and at the same time on the delay position one click below low(the fastest delay speed) you should be reading .0003Amps and 12V on terminal E gray wire, The purple wire (terminal C) should have 12V on high speed only. The yellow wire (terminal B) should have 12V when the key is on and the black wire (terminal A) should always be grounded....check all of that and we should be able to find your problem.
The Amperage should change on terminal E (the gray wire) with each position on the switch but the change will be very small. i.e. the first speed (longest delay) will read .000017 A, the second setting .00004 A and so on. Check that and let me know...(by the way, amps are checked in series with the connector so unplug it, place one probe in the connector and the other in the motor plug terminal. )

I have a 2003 gmc envoy and the wiper blades are stuck in upward position, how do i reset them??

Replace the wiper motor. The module is built into it. And it has lost it's park position.

Where is the wiper relay

A wiring diagram doesn't show a relay, just a 25 amp fuse in fuse panel under driver's side of dash. Intermittent working is usually from a loose or poor or corroded connection, or the switch is old and tired, or the motor is old and tired.
Here is one way to check, if you have a test light: when the wipers are not working with wiper switch on high, and key is on, pull off the connector to the wiper/washer motor module (in the engine bay, on the firewall) and check if the purple wire has power. If it does, you probably need to replace the module. Inside the module is a park relay switch (to return wipers to down position when turned off) and a circuit breaker between the motor and ground.
If the purple wire does not have power when key is on and wipers on high, the connection is lost between the switch and the module, or the switch may be malfunctioning. The switch has 5 wires, white wire from 25 amp fuse (power in to switch), a pink wire (for the washer motor), a purple wire (high speed wipers), a dark green wire (low speed wipers), and a gray wire (for the park relay switch inside the wiper/washer motor module). If you see a yellow wire also at the module, that is part of the low speed wiper circuit (the dark green wire) coming from the park relay switch and then to the motor.
Good luck. Post back if further questions, or need more help.

98 monte carlo z34 sometimes wipers won't shut off. is this the turn signal lever or the wiper delay board?

Could be either one.
The wiper switch could be providing power, and there is a park switch in the motor that provides power until the wiper arms "park".
You may be able to disconnect the wiper switch to find out.
Chances are you'll need a wiring diagram to test the circuits.

Wind shield wipers not working

First check the fuse box under the hood for a blown or poorly connected fuse. Next, find the wires going to the wiper switch and check for power when you turn the switch on. Finally, if there is power everywhere you checked, go directly to the motor and check it for getting power. Also check the ground wires for this device. If no ground...no action!

Wipers won't work. No power to motor. Not the fuse.

You have not mentioned the control relay - check this out first - look in your handbook for location - seem to remember there is one relay for the delay/time/park wiper control in the fuse box in the engine bay, try swapping this relay for same type used on other function (horn?) hope this helps - good luck.
