Try turning the steering wheel left and right back and forth while inserting the key. You also have to do this to start the car as well. This some times happens after turning the steering wheel after the key has been removed causing the steering wheel to lock as a theft deterant.

SOURCE: 2002 Buick Rendezvous Error

I have had simlar issues. The first thing to try is to diconnect the positive lead from teh battery. Be careful as there are some issuesd surrounding OEM batteries in the 02. after about 30 secs reconnect the cable. This will "reset" your system and if it is just a glitch, the problem should be gone. If this does not fix the problem it is most likely your intrument cluster, however it can also be the BCM (Body Control Module). Have a dealer check it out for you. Before you buy a replacment part from the dealer chaeck out the prices at newgmparts.com or Rock Auto, both saved me 50% or more when I needed to have these items replaced.

SOURCE: 2003 buick rendezvous power outlets

Fuse #14 is for REAR auxillary power  outlet (in cargo area).  This is located in the INSIDE fuse box to the left of and under the glovebox (to the left of the front passenger's feet).
Fuse #32 is for FRONT Power Outlets/cigarette lighter//Lights, OnStar®  Fuse 32 is under the hood in the ENGINE AREA fuse box located in the compartment  just above the battery.DOUBLE CHECK YOUR MANUAL to make sure that your fuses are the same.  I have a 2003 Rendezvous. Your newer model may be different.  The diagrams for each fuse box can be found inside the lids of the compartments.

SOURCE: where is the starter located on my 2002 buick rendezvous?

a single click usually means the starter. multiple rapid clicks while the key is in start position usually means battery...if battery bad, could be due to alternator, but you likely would have noticed a battery light on the dash while driving before.

Make sue the battery cables are clean and tight, take them off and sand the posts and the cable ends, also take the battery and have it tested by any local Autozone or other chain auto parts store the test is free.

Spray the lock cylinder with WD40, work the key in and out several times, then before you try to turn it put the key in the cylinder and rap the head of the key with the handle of a screwdriver a few times, then try to turn your key.

2004 buick rendezvous sometimes won't start. clicks but won't turn over. replaced starter, battery, and ignition switch. what now??

We just went through this with our 2003 Rendevous. Clicking like crazy but wouldn't start. Replaced the starter but still doing the same thing. Our next step was going to be replace the battery (which tested well) and the ignition assembly. Out of frustration, I hit the top of the hood and the headlights came on!! Further investigaton proved that the problem was a corroded ground wire on the battery. Hope this helps

The key won't go in the ignition switch of my 2005 rendezvous, it looks like there is something inside that won't let it go any further than just a 1/4 in.

Chances are your tumblers have fallen down. Or the outside collar of where you insert the key is misaligned to the keyhole.
