- Thanks. Kwik Fit Garage recharged air con system with special machine; do you think moisture can be left in the system after using this tool? And sorry, what is ?evaporator? and in which part of the car I can find it?

- Thank you, short description: Recharged air con at Kwik Fit garage with they modern equipment but air temperature still as it was before, just little bit cooler than outside. Hot air works fine.

chances are if you system was serviced by modern equipment then they would have pulled a vacuum before recharging .. that would eliminate moisture in the system .. the evaporator is inside your heater box .. you cant see it .. the condenser is the radiator like device in front of your engine cooling radiator ..

if the system is changed properly and still does not work or works intermittantly . then there is a good chance that the air conditioner clutch electronic module is bad .. thats a relay like device located on the drivers side behind the dash .. you have to snap off the dash side panel .. its normally hidden by the door .. inside that is the fuse panel and behind that is the relays/electronic modules .. the one that operates the air conditioner clutch is marked 384 .. there are other possibilities depending on your a more precise description of the problem ..

- evaporator its looks like a little heater core or condensor.it consist of refrigerant coil packed in a dense arrangement of thin cooling fins.its in a housing it sets in your dash.when AC turned on.the warm air from the passenger compartment is blown through coils.and fins of the evaporator.now if the orifice tube or expansion valve.when the refrigerant flows through as a low pressure atomized liquid into evaporator.if there is a lot of moisture in system it will freeze up blocking refrigerant flow in evaporator.that what causes your air not to get cool enough.in a case like this you should replace AC accumulator.that holds a lot of moisture.and replace orifice tube if your AC have one. all AC dont have one.to get it right its going to cost you.all the refrigerant is going have to be discharged and recycle. then your AC then has to be evacuate to pump all moisture and foreign material out of system. then new fresh refrigerant can be put in system.
