It sounds like you have bad spark plug wires or plugs. Try new plug wires first - they are likely 12 years old. You should not see sparks from the wires or at the top of the plugs.

You don't jump a vehicle

You test the battery & if it is good & takes a
charge & holds a charge & is at 12.6 volts or more
you proceed with your testing

Why1999 buick v6 3800 no spark from coil on one cylinder

OK, SO IF WIRES AND PLUG IS NEW, BE POSITIVE YOU HAVE NO SPARK remove wire from plug and hold near a screwdriver and you will see the baby lightning- do it when car is off and then start car and check for spark- don't fry yourself- more than enough current to kill if your a fool GET IT READY WHEN CAR OFF AND THEN START CAR AND SEE SPARK-- SAFEST WAY
IF THERE IS NO SPARK- THEN IT IS EITHER THE COIL ITSELF OR THE IGNITION MODULE THAT THE COIL IS ATTACHED TO -- GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE PLEASE

ENG TURNS OVER BUT DON'T START

Need to check for fuel pressure. There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail on the belt side of the motor under the upper intake. Really common for those vehicles' fuel pumps to **** out. If you have fuel check for spark. You can do that by removing a spark plug then connecting the wire back to it and leaving the plug tip near unpainted metal on the motor. Step back DO NOT TOUCH THE PLUG WHILE THE MOTOR IS BEING CRANKED and have someone else try to start the car. You will see a blue or white spark at the tip if you're getting spark. An orange or red spark indicates a weak ignition coil.

20 expedition location of spark plugs ?4.6

Plugs are near the top of the cylinder heads facing upwards. They are not fun to change as the passenger's side doesn't have a lot of room to work in.

Need location of ecm/ecu on 88-93 buick regal. parked car next day would not start,no spark , center coil bad , replaced it car ran fine for about 2 weeks, now car won't start no spark but coils test good,...

my name is David ,I live in Austin Texas and do alot of mecchanic / technician work around town. I do have my certifications and have work at dealerships and Autozone as well...with all that being said... if you are not getting spark on this vehicleand it is not likely the coils or the module. The crank position sensor the device responsible for reading the angle ( timing ) of the crankshaft. The crankshaft has notches in it that pass either through or near the crank position sensors magnetic tip. The ignition module then interprets the signal and allows signal ( electrical current) to pass into module and on to ignition coils...then on to spark plugs via spark plug wires/cables. The crank position sensor is located on the back side of the engine in the gap between the engine and transmission housing. it is held in place by one 8mm (metric size) or 5/16 standard size bolt. Use a wrench though unless you have small hands or a 1/4 drive socket set. 9.99 times out of ten it will start if there are no other issues... your welcome
