My 2001 ford focus keeps locking. The power locks automatically lock as soon as I unlock them, barely enough time to open door.

Your Focus may be equipped with the autolock feature. Try this:

To deactivate/reactivate the autolock feature using the power door unlock control

You must complete steps 1-7 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.

1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control.
The horn will chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long chirp) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.

2001 ford taurus door ajar light stays on and door locks keep locking and unlocking

Usually a sign the door jamb switch or door latch is faulty.
Sometimes it is the driver's door which is used the most, or a door that is seldom used.
The switches in each door would need to be tested.

When i unlock the car the locks just .....unlock-lock-unlock-lock...and keep going

Happend to mine - lockin solenoid on one of the doors is dud. OR loose.

You will have to remove door card and remove solenoid and replace. - remove the wire from each door in turn to see which one it is.

2001 Ford Excursion door locks will not unlock or lock.

Unfortunately the actuators are bad. You could try removing the door panels and disconnect one actuator at a time and possibly only have a couple bad but it is common to have more than on go bad. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Power locks will not lock or unlock doors. will only unlock if using the key and or manual

The key cylender has a switch attached to it so that is why that works. A relay must be at fault for your problem
