2002 Chevy venture ac heater fan sometimes blows

radiator fan may not be coming on make sure you can hear it running. Fan motor or relay is probably bad

Cooling fan motor does not engage while idling

If the fan runs when the ac is on, you can assume the fan motor and relay are ok. The temp sensor signals the computer when the engine reaches 220 degrees and the computer grounds the fan relay to power the fan.
You would need to check the operation of the temp sensor and verify the engine temp, usually with a scanner.

My 2000 chevrolet venture fan didn't work on 1, 2 it only works from 3-5, but when i get to mechanic he said the coolant temp unit need to be change. Can you pls tell me what might cause the problem?

I am assuming you are talking about the ac heater fan? You need a new fan speed resistor, I think your mechanic is confused and this you are talking about the engine cooling fan? Let me kno please rate

either the temp sensor is bad but, it sounds like the fan relay is stuck.

Overheating

hello, have you ran a scan tool on it yet to see if its not your coolant temp sensor or other temp sensor if you don't own one you can have any place like auto zone run one for you for free you'll have more of a idea of whats wrong even if your cooling fan is at fault it'll let you know. when your chevy is at idol if the cooling fan is'nt kicking on then that's a good starting point, also check to make sure your anti freeze is'nt low and easy but over looked problem and your anti freeze cap could be bad and wont force the right amount to pressure through the cooling system also make sure you dont have air in your system when you changed the thermostat did you bleed the system through the bleeder valve mounted on the coolint system.and make sure your drive belt has proper tension even though you replaced the pump the drive belt has to be in good condition it drives the pump.also check your cooling fan fuse and the relay for it.

Cooling fans do not come on

Next thing to do is check the connector at the cooling fan switch on the engine, while you are there disconnect the sensor and start the engine, the fan should turn on, if it does the circuit is ok and the problem is with the fan switch or connector to it on the engine.
