I have a 2007 pontiac g5 battery was done got a new one but close the trunk not knowing I could pop it back open and my key lache is broke how do he in it and already tried the fuse boxHey alex you coming down this weekend? I have lots of booze to get rid of connecting the positive and negative dint work

you can charge the battery from the engine compartment. check your owners manual that is the correct place to jump and to charge the battery.

Is the lock grabing the stricker? You may have a stuck actuator holding the lock plate open or closed. Check operation. If it does lock and will not pull down to close compleatly you need to replace the pull down switch.

There is no battery in the world that does not have a negative terminal. but, the negative lead of the jumper should be connected to any solid metal bracket on the engine (on both vehicles) Stay away from drive belts.

SOURCE: Trunk lid will not pull down

i had the same problem, there is a stop switch that is bad. (got one from a junkyard but it was bad also). haven't found one online yet, but will ask my local ford dealer if part is still available.
so untill i find one, i got the motor to stop at the all the way down position (trunk closed) and then unpluged the motor.

The fob is the device for unlocking your doors Keyless entry. It will not affect the starting and driving of the car , you just will not be able to unlock it with the button "only the Key"
