Sewer gases can contain explosive methane. This issue should be fixed as soon as possible.

You need to check for a blockage at the pipe perhaps a CCTV inspection is needed

you can use some sort of fan to remove the smell via a carbon filter so your home doesnt loose heat ...
sounds terrible .,. hope you find the solution

The exhaust inside the car would suggest the vents in question have fallen apart somewhere in the dash between the engine compartment and the interior allowing fumes to enter the cabin. Get that checked at a garage right away. Very dangerous to breath exhaust fumes.

Smell of gas and whistling sound

Its all connected.
The computer uses a solenoid to vent the fumes from the tank when the engine is running.
The vapor canister holds the fumes until the vent valve is opened.
The computer tried to vent the tank and something went wrong.
It could be from the excessive heat or something with the venting system.
A mechanic would test the venting system.

heater core is bad, needs to be replaced as asap. check your floor board and see if it is wet under your matt. If not fixed you will ruin your carpet and it is not good to breath the vapors of the antifreeze comming out of the vents.

Crankcase vent hose, broken, yellow fluid

The crankcase vent hose vents unburned fuel and oil fumes to prevent explosion in oil pan. The combination can result in a yellow or lite chocolate milk color if moisture is also present. These hoses harden over time due to the heat of these fumes and engine heat much like your vacuum hoses that harden.

HVAC vent selector does not function. Air flow is

THe blend door seems to be stuck. When you change settings from defrost to floor air or, vent, the blend door opens and closes directing the air to the place you want it to go to. I have had some success spraying a lubricating oil such as WD40 under the dash on the blend door. You need to get under the dash with a flashlight to locate it. It looks like a flap. Spray it with a couple of shots of the WD40. Go easy on the spraying as you may be inhaling the fumes. Keep the doors and windows open to minimize the fumes. Wait about 1/2 hour and try the A/C functions. (defrost, floor, vent air)
