Do I have to change power steering fluid in hyundai getz 2007 done 55,000 kms?

Too early, unless you took more than 10 years to reach that mileage. Consider both car age and distance travelled, I woud guess at least 75 - 100.00 km or every 7 - 10 years (whichever comes first), but do consult your maintenance manual - should that give shorter intervals, these apply.

Consequences are way less severe than failing to change motor or transmission fluid.

Kia rio 2004 The power steering fluid container was full and as I was driving I heard a pop some where in the engine I check everything and I was completely out of steering fluid I filled it up and turn...

Has the steering gone heavy? if the reservoir is empty and you top it up then it must have a substantial leak.If you cant see any fluid on the floor then it maybe that the leak is internal in the power steering rack.

Where do i put transmission fluid in a nissan navara 2.4

If it doesn't have a dipstick then it is a sealed transmission and you must see the dealer. &Unless it is leaking you need not check the fluid level, it doesn't evaporate.

Power steering not working, and put power steering fluid in car

Lets use common sense here

It leaks, you stop using the car & repair the leak

Most likely the steering rack is worn & needs to be replaced

That's what happens when you don't flush the fluid every
3 years or it leaks & runs low

Whining noise while engine is revving/accelerating

check power steering pump fluid, with engine off try to wiggle every pulley if any move at all that's your culprit, power steering, alternator, idler puller, water pump, but sounds like bearing failure

How do i change my power steering fluid

Hi B, There are basically two places that can make a noise from the power steering; one is a loose belt which will produce a loud screeching sound which will become more intense when the steering wheel is turned. That one means that the belt has stretched and should be replaced or re-tightened. The second type of noise will be from the pump and will mean a replacement or at the very least a repair job (if the repair kit is available). Replacing the fluid is not a great problem. Locate the reservoir and the low pressure pipe which returns the fluid into it It will came from the steering assembly. (a rubber pipe attached with hose clips. The high pressure feed pipe will connect to the steering pump).Get a large container, which must be at least four times the capacity of the replacement fluid, You will probably need in the region of seven to ten pints, maybe more.. Join an extension hose to the return pipe and run that into the catchment container. Be prepared with the replacement fluid and ask a friend to start the engine. As the engine starts, begin filling and keep filling. The used ATF will run into the catchment container and when it becomes clean cut the engine. Reconnect the hose to the reservoir and check that there are no leakages. Regards John

I am going to have my timing belt changed on my 2007 Hyundai Accent. What fluids should be changed at the same time? Thank you

Your owner's manual contains a section for maintenance & safety checks. Depending on your vehicle's maintenance history, you may not have to change any fluids at this time. As a rule of thumb, every 30,000 miles you should change trans fluid/lube and cooling system flush every 2 years. Brake & power steering fluid need only be checked for minimum level and inspect system components if fluid levels are below minimum.

Power steering fluid leaking. Had rack replaced, leaking stopped. After a week started leaking again. Resevoir is low after filling with Dexron III. 2001 Hyundai Sonata V6 manual transmission.

Year and mileage? Keep the fluid level up so you don't damage the power steering pump, and return to the garage that serviced it. This sounds like something wasn't tightened properly, and they should correct the problem. It is possible that a power steering hose or the pump itself developed a leak, but, it is most likely something that wasn't tightened properly. That's the best diagnosis that can be given w/out actually being able to see the vehicle.
