Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo
Tried different keys, has failed to start with either key although this morning when bumping gear shifter & steering wheel didn't do the trick, I switched keys and Rodeo fired up right away ! ??????
Many keys today have a microchip in the key itself, and if the chip has malfunctioned the car won't respond normally. Your second key working is proof the trouble is in the key not the car. I think they can be checked in some Autoparts stores.

Testimonial: "Thanks Old F.,but they cut-off some of my description of problem, Rodeo has done the same with "BOTH" keys ! Was just out in the driveway, I'm about 99% its a bad spot on the Starter Motor ! I get 'Nothing' the first 2 tries, then I get a "Solid" sound from the Starter twice, then it fires right up. It did this 3 times in a row !"
