If you mean the charcoal canister that removes excess vapours from the fuel system, open the fuel filler cap to relieve any pressure then simply remove the vacuum lines from the old canister, undo the mount and replace

Full brake air pressure on Daf CF but gauges read zero, buzzer remains 'on'and dash reads 'low brake air pressure' and ABS fault.-- fitted sensor unit at air dryer but no change. Help would be great

check the air pressure switch at the tank supply line at the foot ( treadle ) valve if that switch is not operational then it may be where the system is not getting a full pressure report
you should have a pressure reading on the air gauges in the dash as they read from the air tanks
remove the compressor line to the tank and check for air flow from the compressor when running as some european built trucks have the steel line as n air cooling line and they tend to carbon up internally and block air flow( scania in particular uses a pipe shaped as a coil that was very bad in design

I hav a 98 Malibu Was idleing funny change the tps didnt fix it now when driveing it acts like it wants to die but when i stop it dies still acts like the idleing is still offf

There are a few things you can check for, 1. the idle air control valve for carbon and the same for the throttle plate having varnish or carbon build-up . Use spray carb. cleaner if any of these are black with carbon.2. A dirty mass air flow sensor will cause stalling and Idle problems . You can get cleaner just for mass air flow sensors ,don't use carb.clean ,or brake clean ! Or you could possibly have a vacuum leak ! check all vacuum hose , you can spray carb cleaner at intake gaskets to check for leaks , but be careful it is flammable !!!

may be you should make a diagnostic and you can do it in a garage or you can do it by yourself if you want to do it by yourself you need some tools and you can find some good ones here: xcardiag.com

I have a 2003 pt crusier and i have a #4 engine missfire. i changed the plugs, wires, and coil, and the check engine light is still on. also the engine idle stayies high when you shift gears. please h

First Check for vacuum leak. My next step would be cleaning the I.A.C. ( idle air control ) Its common to find it clogged up with carbon. Also a bad mass air flow could cause it. ( easy solution to mass air flow, you can do the relearn procedure to see if solves it)

2001 Tacoma running rich but the scanner is reading a lean code

No, disconnecting the sensor and seeing no change would be a indication the maf was bad. Your computer takes information from your mass air flow sensor (maf), o2 sensor, cam position, and knock sensor to regulate the correct mixture. I would suspect a bad o2 sensor upstream. Try taking off the o2 sensor and seeing if there is black carbon on the base of the o2 sensor. If it has black carbon on the base it could be a bad o2 sensor. This problem could also be easily solved by hooking up a mechanics diagnostic computer to pin point the problem. Sometimes, you can clean the mass air flow with a special cleaner to help it generate a more accurate reading.

When was the last tune-up?

Inspect few plugs for carbon ash (lean running) or wet (rich running).

Clean Mass Air Flow sensor with CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner

Change air filter

Change PCV valve (under $10 item)

Ran a tank of Chevron gas with LUCAS fuel system cleaner additive.

Inspect for vacuum leak.
Start from the brake booster (round metal drum) and work you way outward.

I put a cold air intake filter on the truck, and right after that the engine will not accelarate I changed the O2 sensor, the mass air flow sensor, and the one before the mass air flow sensor.

I,m thinking that its your catalitic converter, it may or may not be the fault of the cold air intake, due to the increase in air flow you may have freed up some lingering carbon deposits through driving potentionally with a heaver foot than normal. (we all love the sound of our intakes) Is there a check engine light or emmisions type of warning?
