What did the mechanic say?

Why did the mechanic not resolve the issue?

Why not remove a battery cable, rather than ruin
a battery when it runs down?

I own a 2002 mercury sable, and my dome light wont turn off. as of right now I am disconnecting the battery. What fuse do I need to pull until I have the Door Jar Latch replaced.

Is your dash board lights dimmer switch turned all the way to the right? This is normally how the 'dome' light is turned on. Check yours.

It may be some other problem ... check this first.

The average life of a taurus or sable transaxles is a
surprising 65,000 miles, then you have to rebuild it
I only recently read that

In the early 1990's I owned a trans repair business
& over half my work was taurus & caravans
The rest was japanese

I can not see that being the original transaxle from
1995, but I wouldn't hold out hope of any type of

check all your fuses. its easy, just use aset of needle nose pliers to pull the fuse out .only pull one at a time.each fuse has 2 flat prongs with a small piece of wire connecting them,if the wire is not there the fuse is blown. it should look like this U , not this I I . I hope this helps.
