I've owned my 2000 MPV since new and in that time and 250K miles later I have replaced the radiator and water pump and overflow tank. I have never bleed the cooling system. I have encountered no cooling related problem. I live in south Florida.

SOURCE: how do you bleed the air out of the coolant system

The generic method of bleeding air from the cooling system of any car or truck is to use a floor jack and raise the front of the car as high as poss, then fill the coolant recovery tank full and run the engine until it just starts to overheat, high end of normal zone on gauge, then shut the engine down and run cold water over the radiator core, this will self bleed the system and the coolant will be pulled from the recovery tank, repeat as necessary, never let the recovery tank run dry or more air will be pulled into the cooling systeml , if it still overheats then you need to have the head gaskets checked with a gas analyzer for hydrocarbons present in the radiator or recovery tank

Why my 2000 s/70 volvo temperture hand goes to hot when driving i change the radator now this my problem

Rodney, first thing I can think of, the coolant system has an air lock in it. when changing a radiator now a days, the coolant system has to be bled properly for a successful install. Other than bleeding for air, you may have a faulty plugged core radiator. You did plug your fans back in right. links below on how to bleed air from cooling system.

How to properly bleed the cooling system

Allow the vehicle to run with the rad cap off adding coolant as necessary until the upper and lower rad hoses are hot indicating the thermostat is open. This can become a messy job as trapped air will push coolant out and make for a good coolant spill. There is a special filling funnel that attaches to the radiator neck available at most part stores that helps to illiminate the amount of coolant that will come out and spill

The car idle in park for hours, but when drive at high rpm it heats up after a few miles and then smoke come from the exhaust?

Have the coolant checked for hydrocarbons. It sounds like a blown head gasket, but from the cylinder into the water jacket. Under higher pressure the engine heat/exhaust gases will enter into the coolant and pressurize and overheat the system. Then with the additional pressure, water vapor will bleed back into the cylinders and burn off as white smoke. This doesn't seem like a fully blown gasket, but one that has a tiny leak under higher pressure and heat conditions. It will eventually get worse.

Mazda 626 is overheating. changed the thermostat twice in 10 weeks Both fans are working;increase temp when Accelerating.tried to bleed air from the system but this model doesn't have a bleed valve.

is coolant circulating in motor/radiator? does radiator top hose get hot when engine has been warmed up? might be water pump, not thermostat. and you do have plenty of antifreeze/coolant in radiator I'm sure.

I have antifreeze in the reservoir just changed the thermostat and gasket, all the fuses are good and the blower works great on my Mazda MPV year 2000, but I still have no heat only cold air is coming out...

Air lock in cooling system not allowing coolant to circulate through heater core. Need to bleed air or burp air from cooling system. Look for a bleeder valve by the engine side of the upper radiator hose possibly or on radiator.

2000 millennia Heater problem

make sure your coolant fluid level is good, than check the valve that controls the amount of coolant that flows to the heat exchanger inside your dashboard, make sure it is wide open. (find it by having someone inside the car move the heat control from hot to cold and back while you are under the hood looking for the valve. Sometimes the cable that goes from the dashboard heat/temp control to the coolant valve comes off.
