As you have not stated which engine here is what I have for the 1.0 2004 - 2011 it is done in 3 stages 1. 22+-6Nm - 2. 42+-6Nm stage 3 is 62+-6Nm. That is the same on the 1.1 as well. the 1.1D CRDi 2004 - 11 is different but still done in 3 stages - 1. 49+-2Nm - 2. 90+-2Nm - 3. 120+-2Nm hope that helps

Cylinder Head Cover Bolts
  • The 15 cylinder-head cover bolts should be tightened to a torque of 35 to 52 ft-lbs.

Can you re use conrod bolts on a kia picanto 1.1 2010


Dear Esra,
In the United States, our traditions are to never reuse connecting rod bolts, or head bolts, (or other engine assembly bolts for that matter,) because of "stretching".
Since all these bolts are torqued to a high number, they will stretch somewhat, even if it is a few thousands of an inch.
Therefore, reusing them can cause a mis-reading of the torque.
So, in America, almost all certified mechanics use new bolts for each engine assembly.

How to torque the big end bearings


Hussain, Do not re use old bolts or nuts. As answered on fixya by Billy Rennie, big end - stage one 18-22 Nm. stage 2 40-50 degrees
main bearings stage 1 20 Nm stage 2 90 degrees

I need to find the torque specs for the connecting piston rod? also the sequence and torque for the cylinder head bolts this is for a kia rio 2004 6cyl


22 - 24 ft. lbs. for the rod caps and....

Tighten cylinder head bolts in order shown.
Tightening torque: 36.1 ft. lbs. (49 Nm, 5 kg-m)

Loosen bolts in reverse of order shown.

Retighten cylinder head bolts in order shown.
Tightening torque: 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm, 2.5 kg-m)

Mark cylinder head bolts for rotational reference.
Rotate cylinder head bolts 90°(1/4 Turn) in order shown.

CAUTION:
  • Do not reuse the old cylinder head bolts.
