The fact that it runs on fuel means that the electronics of the vehicle are all operational. The problem is the fuel selection process for he LPG. The converter for the lpg is prone to corrosion and failures internally so I would suggest that you have an accredited Auito gas specialist look at the gas system

LPG converters are not to be repaired by any body but a fully qualified and accredited LPG person. I meant that you should have had the job done by such a person as there are settings that only they will know how to adjust. If you read up on the dangers of LPG gas the you will understand why I refer to accredited repairers. LPG gas expands som 20 times its volume so in reality 1 once of LPG will blow up the car.

SOURCE: running on lpg then stop

check that your cooling system if full of coolant. the coolant that keeps the engine cool actually keeps the gas converter from freezing. alternatively is it hard to start of a morning when cold, if so could be butane wax build up from the gas, in the convertor.

Petrol has a different ignition point than LPG. You might want to get your fuel system recalibrated.

SOURCE: 1981 Toyota Hiace (18R) Charcoal canister leaking petrol.

This sounds overfilled to me. Liquid should not get to the canister, only vapors, look for exactly what separates and stops liquid fuel, somewhere along the vent line... Sometimes on top of fuel tank.

BUT, it sounds like you are seriously overfilling. Gas comes out of the ground cool, then heats up in your tank. Put much less fuel in gas tank.

Fuel no longer lubricates anything, so no issue with full time LPG, but starting is commonly an issue, and most designs start with gas and cross over automatically to LPG, after warmed up.

Holden statesdman 1994 VR It is on PETROL AND GAS will start on petrol but keeps stalling when switched over to gas is good

I assume this is dual fuel.... LPG and gasoline??????? Is cooling system full? If so, probably plugged filter on LPG convertor. If you are not knowledgeable with LPG, get someone who is. LPG is highly explosive.

2000 vt comm dual fuel has started back firing engine ceases and wont start till a few minutes have passed This happens on lpg and petrol but is more inclined to start again on petrol Any ideas

the fuel contoller may have blocked or failed. have you ever replaced the lpg filters?
take your vehicle to a garage who can repair and test lpg.
this will be far cheaper than guessing.

Lpg converted engine wont run using lpg without gasoline in tank

It is normal. All LPG converted engines start with gasoline. Then when they reach 2000 rpm move on LPG system.
If you want to start directly with LPG must call a professional to modify your installation.

IF you are on lpg then check that the gas regulator for icing up and stopping the liquid LPG from turning to gas. If it cuts out on petrol check that there is not a problem with the petrol shut off solenoid . Check the LPG cut off solenoid . I suspect a loose connection or wires to either or both or faulty units

Started car running on petrol for 5 minutes with lpg switched on, clicking noise from lpg tank, slight smell of gas, when fuel switched to lpg engine cut out. start again on petrol, switch on lpg again,...

could be number of problems but often this is caused by valve on the inlet manifold which is electricaly operated and then it allows the gas in but it is also vacumn sensitive so a perished rubber pipe could cause it not to sense the vacumn .best advice without seeing it is to visit a mechanic that is conversant with LPG conversion

lpg doesent have as much octane as gas/petrol, and so will stall and hiccup more at lower revs, most people with lpg conversions run their car on gas when around town and switch to lpg when in on the highway. have you replaced the air filter as well?
