2005 c230 Kompressor = Crank no Start

Have been working on this issue for the last 9 days now. 2005 c230 Kompressor Car started to idle rough and kept shutting off. Than cranks and does not Start. Mechanic and I started to try to figure out what is going on. We put odb2 scanner in and read the codes as camshaft and misfire We than removed the valve cover took out the coils and noticed there was oil leaking into the sparks 1, 2 Ordered new sparks, replaced gaskets, cleaned and check coils that were producing spark. Tried to start car. Still cranks no start We than ordered two cam adjuster magnets and replaced them. Still crank no start After doing more research we than ordered and replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor. We hooked up back the odb2 and all codes and faults were gone except the overhead control which is the sunroof. Still crank no start

I am not to familiar with mercedes benz with a scanner it should show some obvious pid data such as engine rpm cranking and o2 sensor data even thou the engine is not running if any unburnt fuel is in the exhaust system then the voltage should go up . some times the cats get plugged to the point of a no run then dropping the exhaust down then trying to run it .

The first thing that comes to mind is your anti theft system. you would get spark but the anti theft is shutting off the fuel injectors. Spray some starting fluid in the air intake . The car should fire up and then dies. ( I am assuming you already checked the fuel delivery system and it is working fine) Then you know for sure. Try another key see if works first to make sure the issue is not from the key.

You have to go back to the basics to find out what systems aren't working. Fuel/Fire/Air. Is it getting fuel, is it getting spark, how is the compression? Once you figure these things out then you will be heading on the right track.

2004 Mercedes-Benz C230 kompressor warning gauge Battery / Alternator needs to be service.

check your volt gauge on the dash. if it's working properly, then your car is throwing a bad code. if the battery looks as though it's taking more than 14 volts, or less than 10, you have a problem.

Check engine light, engine miss, loss of kompressor power

might have a vacuum leak. 2005 c class 230 kompressors have issues with the engine vent hoses under the intake manifold deteriorating and coming completely apart. This will cause mixture adaptations to max out and can cause missfires. Usually it sets a check engine light when it gets bad enough. There is a factory recall to replace these hoses, so check with mbz to see if your car has an open recall
