Sounds like the alignment is messed up. You will have to fix this before it will start.

I changed my 1400 Citi Golf water pump and now I have idling at 1500 when warm and a"wirring"sound and "Pinging"on acceleration, but only when its warm

I would suggest tat you have the valve timing professionally checked Pinging ( detonation) is from air/fuel mixture and ignition timing and the sound may be from incorrectly adjusted /aligned tensioner pulley on the cam belt.

2002 escape 3.0 camshaft cap bolt torque specifications

make sure to apply 5w-20 oil to caps prior to install. Also caps and journals are number so you do not install in wrong place. Starting with Righ side looking at pulleys from front, right side cam start with first cap on left being #1 then bolt on other side of cap as #2. Cap behind would be #3 to left then #4 bolt next to it. Keep tightening the next 2 caps behind them in same manner, then jump to front of cam to left side and tighten caps front to back. You should tighten to 10 Nm (89 lbs-in) with a torque wrench. Then you tighten left side head cam caps starting with the left side if looking at front pulleys. Start at front caps working to rear then jump to right side cam front to back. Tighten these caps at 8 nm (71 lb-in) using torque wrench. Also make sure if heads are bolted to block that cam pulley postion is the following: left side looking at pulleys------left pulley mark at 12 o'clock right pulley mark at 3 o'clock. Right side head looking at pulleys------- left side pulley at 9 o'clock and right side pulley at 12 o'clock. When I say clock postion that means using head where valve covers meet as your straight vertical postion.

Where are the marks to put the timer belt in kia sportage 2001 i need to change the timer belt but i do not have manual to put the car in time

Once the belt is removed, turn the crank pulley clockwise until the pin on the crank nut lines up with the notch at the 12 o'clock position just above it. The intake cam needs to be rotated so the "I" on the pulley is at the 12 o'clock position and the exhaust cam needs to be rotated so the "E" on the pulley is at the 12 o'clock position, then install the belt and adjust tension. Use a 1/2" drive ratchet and I think a 21mm socket for the crank pulley and a 17mm wrench for the cam pulleys.

Diagram for timming belt on 2002 ford focus 2.0ltr

there isnt marks!the cam pulleys have do nothing with timing!remove the valve cover and see in the other end of the camshafts and find two eccentric cuts!turn the crankshaft to the top dead point on the cylinder 1 the two cuts must be in the same line on the upper or lower side.you need aspecial tool to lock the camshafts and another to lock the crankshaft!this is the timing procedure!now you can change anything you want!note!the cam pulleys are conejointed to the camshafts!no marks no pins no safe pins etc.isnt difficult but complicated simple!

We change the cambelt and something very wrong happened, after putting everything together and starting the car.. it sound really wierd and the car is shaking. Probably the geerwheels are in wrong...

put number one cyl to tdc take out plug put long screwdriver down to check this if you are not sure /check marks on cam pulleys are correct at this point you need to use locking tool to hold pulleys still .if used before you would not have had a problem re fit belt tension turn over 2 times re check marks re check belt tension should be ok now unless valve has got bent moral always lock the camshafs on twin cam engines

Timing marks for a daewoo nubira cdx

on bottom pulley there is a mark on the outer edge. line this up with the peg in the lower plastic cover.
on both top cam gear pulleys, there are punch indentations on them. get a straight edge like a mettle rule. place it through the bolts central and line the two cam pulleys to the outer making sure the rule is in line with the indents and the bolt centers. fit belt then recheck. DO NOT START ENGINE YET.remove all spark plugs. turn engine over by hand with a bar and socket to bottom pulley. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO TURN OVER BY STARTER MOTOR. as this will bend most of your valves. if the engine turns over one complete revolution. then refit all the spark plugs and start engine.

How to remove camshaft pulley

not sure what you mean by the tire, but you can loosen the tensioner and make some markings on where the belt and pulleys are. if you are very careful you dont have to loosen tensioner or move the belt. you could loosen the pulley, let it drop a little (taking care not to let the belt slip a tooth, and then put on the new pulley the same spot where the old one went. you might need some force to align the pulley to the cam, but this can be done.

WHEN REPLACING THE HEAD GASKET.

Yes, the chain has to come off. The cam gear that is driven by the chain is mounted on the cam, inside the head, and the crank pulley down at the bottom is what drives it via the chain. The chain has to be removed in order to remove the head.

Usually the pulleys are mounted onto their shafts with a bolt through the center of each pulley. That will have to be loosened and removed (which is much easier if it's loosened before you remove the chain, so that the chain holds the pulley still and keeps it from moving). My question is, why do you need to remove the pulley? Once the chain is off, and everything else is disconnected, the head will lift off with the pulley intact, and the crank pulley doesn't need to come off as it has nothing to do with a head gasket service. Is there another issue that requires the pulley to come off, or are you replacing the head with one whose cam pulley is missing?
