It's the security system locking you out. General Motors cars are notorious for pass-key problems when they get older. You probably need a new ignition switch. You must order it using the vin from your car it must match the (BCM) body control module which gives the ok to start the car and turn on the injectors. The switch is probably worn or the tiny wires inside are burned or come loose. You can try this bypass procedure..it might work for you one time. put the key in , turn car to on, (do not start it). Leave it on for about 10 to 15 min. Turn key to off and then to on and start..and see it it will turn over. If not you will have to go to the dealer.

Truck wont start

Starter fluid won't work if the starter won't turn the engine over.

Get the battery load tested...it may not have enough juice to start the truck but have enough to light up the lights

check your fuses and battery connections at the starter. Is the anti theft light flashing? If it is that's your problem. Wait 10 minutes insert the key...wait for the theft light to go out before trying to start.

if that doesn't work you will need to get the starter checked...which means you will have to take it off.

I Ask a Mechanic to change Starter and now most light are dead.

i would say check all the fuses again, both in passenger compartment and under the hood. plus, the mechanic should be responsible for this issue. it also sounds like you battery is not fully charged. i would also suspect, the starter was changed without disconnecting the battery and something was shorted as he installed the starter. good luck

06 plate citroen c2 wont start

If you check your engine fuse box and find that your 20amp fuse is blown its either a sticking starter relay or water getting in your electrics. Try checking this first as the fuse box is directly above wheel arch and can get damp. Clean up green contacts and keep a spare 20amp fuse handy. After changing this blown fuse you will need to reset the engine management system by disengaging the battery terminal. You're clocks might be out but car will now start. Don't forget to buy that starter relay if problem persists.

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

Seems like the car is staying in "ACC" (accesory key position)

BFC that body function controller. BFC batt fuse controls .the body function controller .its part of the PCM.the BFC controls anti theft system. your interior lights -drl lights- radio -door locks.if your check engine light is on take it to dealership.because your BFC and PCM works together. your car could shut off. that unsafe.when you on a busy highway.you have electrical problem.not a home fix.
