How to clean the carburetor

There is no carburetor on these cars. They have direct port fuel injection systems. Put some injector cleaner in a full tank of gas to clean internally. I use Lucas products. Otherwise you have to take the injector out and clean is carefully in a wash bin.

Runs rough at lower speeds. Runs just fine at 70 with cruise on.

This sounds like a plugged injector. At low speeds it will dribble gas, rather than a fine spray. Try using a bottle of concentrated fuel injector cleaner in each tank of gas for at least 2 tanks. If it doesn't improve after the first one have a shop hook it up because this can cause wash down of the cylinder walls and dilute your engine oil with gas, damaging the motor.

Fuel injectors plugging. May be rust from gas tank. Cleaners...

first replace your fuel filter it should grab all the nastys out before it can get to the injectors... yes rust from tank could do it... but if its that bad to clog you up then fuel system cleaners are not gonna do the trick you need to drain the tank.... remove tank... remove fuel pump out of top... take a look see what you got in there... if its dirty it will be obvious ... if it is i recommend taking 5.00 in change to your local spray wash.... give a good hard spray out .... use the engine/tire cleaner provided there... spray it all out best you can... take it home put your water hose inside turn on and walk away ... whatever you didnt get at the car wash should float out of the tank ... towel dry best you can... best to do this on a sunny day so you can leave it in the sun to evaporate... once you think all the water is out go to the dollar store...walmart...advance...autozone... where ever... and buy 2 bottles of HEET .... heet grabs the moisture in the tank and helps evaporate it out ... reinstall in the reverse order ... and go go go

Some put salt in my gas tank will this harm my vehicle?..

OH YES.......BUT HOPEFULLY, YOUR FILTER WILL COLLECT THE GRAINS AS THEY DONT DISSOLVE IN GAS.you will need to STOP USING THE CAR UNTIL YOU drop the tank to wash it out, also the fuel lines.

Rough idleing after pressure wash engine and fuel injector clean

Hi,
I'm assuming you added fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank rather than using a direct pressure cleaner through your fuel injectors.
When a solvent/cleaner product is added to your fuel tank, carbonaceous deposits (basically the dirt and gunk accumulated over years) are flushed through the fuel system. This can cause major problems if the contaminants manage to enter your fuel pump and make their way past the seals. This can and has damaged good fuel pumps. Downstream of the pump is the fuel filter - once deposits reach the fuel filter, they may block it and reduce fuel flow. The next major problem areas are the injectors themselves (rather sensitive to dirty fuel) and the engine.
Fuel injector cleaner is not a product I would recommend using. Many major car manufacturer's have recently issued memos to repairers blacklisting the use of cleaner products due to the downstream damage that may potentially be caused by them.
You should replace your fuel filter once you've finished using the tank of injector cleaner. This is most likely the problem (and could have probably used a replacement anyway). I hope this solves your problem. Otherwise you should check your fuel line pressure to ensure the pump is supplying what is required. Failing this, your injectors are probably the next most likely culprit. By this stage, things are starting to get expensive so lets hope the problem is just a blocked filter!
On a related side note; pressure cleaning an engine can sometimes cause water and soap to push down beside the spark plugs in a spark ignition engine. Sometimes this will cause the engine to run a little rough until the heat of combustion burns the contaminants away.
Hope this helps, Sherwin

Gas?

pressure washing wouldent be the bet thing for your engine you dont want water getting into your harnesses but go to your local auto parts store that carrys Lucas and go buy some Lucas injector cleaner it should make a diffrence
and if you bought your gas from a gas station that has slow buissness that could be your problem to
less buisness = gas is being held in the tanks for longer= longer it sit builds moisture in the tank = bad gas
