You have a bad solder joint inside the radio. Solder joints crack. They are affected buy heat and cold. You can pull the radio, tear it apart. Look at where power comes in or at the face of the radio. Mostly likely this is where the short is. If you have a high dollar radio, have it looked at. A chaep one reploace it.
