I bought a car and all the paperwork, title, registration and even the bastards drivers license was fake and the DMV said it had a lien on it and neither them nor the police would help me with any...

Get an attorney, If you can show proof of purchase then the original finance company will have to legally pursue the original purchaser. If the car was stolen from them then their insurance company should pay the vehicle off and the insurance company will pursue the responsible party. But, you will have to provide proof that you thought you were legally purchasing a vehicle at fair market value.

Car alarm

You need to check if the alarm is factory fitted or aftermarket, i.e. fitted by car security company. You should have some paperwork. I presume you cannot start the car due to immobiliser. If it is aftermarket you can contact the insaller, or someone who does the same brand near you to get you going. Or you can search under the dash for the black immobiler wires and locate and join the appropriate wires. If the system is factory fitted, best to contact your local dealer. Good luck

Code for stereo after battery changed

If you bought the car new, it should have come with a small credit card sized card with the radio code. If you bought it used, it may be in with the owners manual or other paperwork. If no avail, you will need to contact Honda with the VIN number to get the code.

Had dead battery, now clock and radio don't come on. I was told a code is needed to reset them. How can I do this on my own without taking it to the dealer?

Here is a website which you can get your code. It is much cheaper this way than going to a new car dealership which charges by the book hour instead

What Should I look For I just got it today.

Take a look at the cv joints....the boots that cover the ends that go into the tranny and the end that attaches to the tire area. Look at the color of the oil...see if it is grey or tainted with anything other than motor oil.

Take a look at the belts....cracks fraying, the belt tight....that type of thing for the belt inspection....look for shiny spots...leads to squealing.

Drive the vehicle at different're paying attention to the "feel" of the steering...this will give you indications of the front pulls left, it pulls right.....wobbles....make turns left and right....listen for clunks....all this will let you know the condition of the front end/steering system.

Get on the highway or open about 45-65 and slow down faster than usual...if it pulses in the front end, and you can feel it in the steering wheel...good bet the rotors are warped from high speed braking. Squeeks when you apply breaks....brake wear indicator telling you the brakes are worn.

Jack the front of the car up and twist and pull...push and pull the left and right tire....anby wobble or noises...may have bad bushing/ball joints/cv joints.

there is a lot of stuff to look for...but this is a few things to keep you busy.

Hope this helps you.

Please don't forget to rate.....Thanks

Radio code

You may be able to call the service dept and get the number.  I remember just visiting the dealer to get mine.  My car was bought used so don't know if the code was in the original paperwork.
