I have a 06 Honda Pilot my spark plugs keep getting over loaded with too much fuel. I was told it could be a bad fuel pressure regulator. I can't find it it's not on the fuel rail.

plugs do not get overloaded with fuel
the induction system runs excessively rich from bad injectors or leaking injector seals
a faulty pressure regulator will contribute to the problem by making weak seal leak but I suspect that there is a injector control problem or heated oxygen sensor failure
have the fault codes read first as that saves considerable money

I have 99 bmw 323i.i ran it hot and got prob fixed and now the eml and a triangle with circle around it comes on dash and car has no power.feels like it has a rev limiter.wats wrong with my car

have throttle body checked also the MDK throttle motor,
make sure that the dealer has followed service bulletin 12 07 99 for procedure to replace the MDK throttle motor
also have them check for codes, here are some codes,
it could be an expensive job, have them check everything,it is most likely the throttle motor,,throttle body is 600 if they switch it,dont let them do it without checking throttle motor,

Is there an erg valve on a honda accord 2008 4 cyl

code p0300 refers to--random/multiple cylinder/s misfire detected...Causes---spark plugs---HT leads---injectors---ignition coils ---low compression ---wiring
code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected Causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/fuel system ---ECT/MAF sensors ECM
code po303 refers to cylinder 3 misfire detected Causes Engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system ---injector---ECT/MAF sensor ECM The common fault to all is the fuel/system ignition
I would have the injectors checked and have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check pump and fuel regulator valve.

Weres the value to check the fuel pump locate at on the motor

Hi Teresa, There is no valve on the motor to check the fuel pump pressure. The way that the testing is carried out is to fit a test meter onto the inlet feed into the fuel rail with an extended banjo bolt and special adapter with the use of gasket washers (copper or aluminium). Once connected, start the engine and let it idle. the pump pressure should be a minimum of 3.6 bar and a maximum of 4.8. Cut the engine and the pressure should be maintained for at least four minutes before any drop is noticed. If there is a drop the fuel pressure regulator is suspect. Regards John

Sometimes my car starts and sometimes it does not. everything is on in my car but engine won"t turn over. i let it sit for a long period of time and it starts. what could be worg with it?

The first thing I'd suspect would be the distributor cap & rotor, but my 2003 PT Cruiser manual says:

1 - Inspect Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator --- Faulty Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator.
2 - Inspect Carburetor Float --- Faulty Choke Float.
3 - Inspect Choke Pulloff --- Faulty Choke Pulloff.
4 - Inspect Choke Thermostat --- Stuck or Improperly Functioning Choke Thermostat.
5 - Inspect Fuel Injector Cold Start Valve --- Damaged or Faulty Cold Start Valve.
6 - Inspect Spark Plugs --- Fouled Spark Plugs.
7 - Inspect Relay - Fuel Pump --- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay.
8 - Inspect PCV Valve --- Plugged or Damaged PCV Valve.
9 - Inspect Carburetor --- Choke Not Operating.

The car dies while driving, changed out egr value, and put in a new raditor, what shuld i look at next. The car sat outside for 2 winters without being driven

I would start with a good healthy tune up since the car has sat. Change plugs, wires, oil,oil filter, air filter, PCV valve, FUEL FILTER, and as old as it is (and if you plan on keeping it) change trans fluid & filter. This will give you a good "ground zero" point for reliability,

Won't stay running upon starting in the morning and after warming up it has trouble ideling it wants to stop. i received a print out at the parts store and it said catalyst system efficiency below...

sounds like a vacuum leak is causing the problem. consider this. idle bypass valve can be going bad or is bad.

if the engine is getting weak fuel pressure you should see a fuel light come on when this occurs. indicating improper pressure, witch the car running quickly tap the gas pedal.

now dose the problem happen in only cold weather so far? or also hot?

if not then your fuel pressure regulator is faulty.

i suspect the fuel pressure regulator myself but this is a procedure to help you determine it.

Boost(?) problem audi tt

It is probably either the N75 valve(Diverter Valve) or the wastegate actuator. Usually a significant boost leak will set a DTC, still check all hoses and clamps.

A bad wastegate actuator or flap would cause no boost but not necessarily the air-sound.

Testing N75

Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection
With Generic Scan Tool
Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve, Checking
Recommended special tools and equipment e.g.:
- VAG1526 multimeter or VAG1715 multimeter
- VAG1594 connector test kit
Test sequence
- Switch ignition off.
- Disconnect connector at solenoid valve for boost pressure regulation.
517f5c6.jpg - Measure resistance between terminals of valve.
Specified value: 25...35 Ohm
If specified value is not obtained:
- Replace Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75-.

Testing N249

Exhaust Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection
With Generic Scan Tool
Recirculating Valve For Turbocharger, Checking
NOTE:
Valve opens between connection to intake manifold and connection to deceleration shut-off valve with no voltage. Connection to vacuum
reservoir is closed.
Test sequence
- Switch ignition off.
- Disconnect connector from Recirculating valve for turbocharger -N249-.

9dfbfb9.jpg - Measure resistance between terminals of valve.
Specified value: 27...30 Ohm
If specified value is not obtained:
- Replace Recirculating valve for turbocharger -N249-.
If specified values are obtained:
- Connect test box to control module wiring harness, connect test box for wiring test.

1a741bd.jpg - Check wire between test box socket 105+2-pin connector terminal 2 for open circuit according to wiring diagram.
Wire resistance: max: 1.5 Ohm
- Also check the wire for short circuit to B+ and Ground (GND).
If no malfunctions are found in wire:
- Check wire between 2-pin connector terminal 1 and the Fuel Pump (FP) Relay -J17- for open circuit according to wiring diagram.
Wire resistance: max: 1.5 Ohm
If no malfunctions are found in wires:
- Replace Engine Control Module (ECM).

To test the wastegate, locate the wastegate linkage rod and verify that there is no play and that it is closed. You can apply compressed air to the actuator to see if it opens and closes. (not more than 30 psi)

What should the fuel pressure be for a 2000 ford taurus ...after the pressure regulator?

fuel pressure at the fuel rail test port should be at least 44 PSI, when u gun the engine it shuld go up very quickly, it should never drop, if it does the fuel filter is either plugged or the pump is defectuive
