1996 camry slow acceleration

On a Camry that year it is quite possible that

- if an auto, your no 1 & 2 shift solenoid has failed, rendering the trans unable to find low gear. Any auto mech can test for this easily (cheaply), however there should then be a trouble code causing the O/D indicator to blink on the dash (if that lamp is OK)

- if a manual, your clutch is worn and has begun to slip. Park on a level, idle the engine, step firmly on the footbrake, place the trans in 3rd gear and let the clutch out slowly. The engine should immediately stall. If it is slow to do so, suspect the clutch.

NO BUS IN CHRYSLER MEANS YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH ECU(ENGINE COMPUTER) OR DATA LINE DISCONNECT THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER AND WIRING TO TRANS SEE IF IT COMES BACK IF YES PROBLEM IS IN YOUR TRANS OR TRANS COMPUTER (TCM)

How to fix a 1994 toyota camry **** transmision

This will normally be due to a faulty shift solenoid valve SL, or maybe the connector to it on top of the trans housing. It controls the shift clutching in the trans so it is smooth.

It is best replaced by using a hoist, and is not a long job for the mech, who must take off the trans pan.

Shifting gears

All anybody can do is make sure you have no engine issues like vacuum leaks or connectors that fell off sensors. Then look on the passenger side of the trans from underneath. If you see a rubber vacuum line in the side unplug it and look to see if its wet with trans fluid. If so the vacuum modulator is bad. If ok or does not exist then you will need to get the truck inspected for codes. Also look at the condition ofthe fluid It shoud be pink. If not then you may have a problem. Three years ago is a longtime. Anything could of failed in the trans. They dont replace everyything when they rebuild.

Car not shiftting right. The check engine light came on and we pulled a code of P0507 ''Idle Control System RPM high''. The throttle body was cleaned out with throttle cleaner and the light stayed off for...

THE IDLE SPEED SENSOR SOUNDS LIKE IT IS FAILING. THE IDLE SPEED SOLENOID CAN PREVENT THE TRANS FROM SHIFTING AT DESIGNATED RPM'S. THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR WORKS IN CONJUCTION WITH THE IDLE SPEED SENSOR TO TELL THE COMPUTER THE DEMAND FOR FUEL AND THUS SHIFTING THE TRANS AFTER THE RPMS HAVE REACHED ALMOST REDLINE. TRY CHANGING THE SENSOR AND YOU WILL HAVE SOLVED THE NO SHIFT PROBLEM. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. GOOD LUCK

I have a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus LX and it won't shift above 2nd

Sounds like your original problem was the TCM. Find out what codes are in the TCM, and fix them. You most likely have a bad output or input speed sensor, or a solenoid pack.

Po1776 and po700

po700 is transmission, If getting po1776 Solenoid Valve Switch. The Transmission Solenoid Pack needs to be replaced. This is on the top of the trans in the front, just below the lines & input speed sensor. $180 part # 5140429AA with gasket. 90% of 41te trans problems are with this ******, Gasket leaking $3 part at dealer. This can be done by any home mech

Dodge Durango Transmission Problem

Code 0753 means Transmission 3-4 shift solenoid or transmission relay circuit problem. The PCM (engine computer) is seeing an incorrect input electrically for the gear or speed it should be seeing. You will need to find a qualified transmission shop to diagnose the problem. Possible causes for the trouble code start with worn/dirty fluid, electrical repairs & transmission overhaul.
