Changed the 12volt battery & also the keycard batteries. Plugged into my Launch X431 which brought up the following DTC fault Code DF018

removing the battery causes the computer to de-program. With the engine and ignition swith off, try removing the negative battery cable. Wait a while then replace it. Wait only a minute or 2. This will reprogram the computer . You may have to repeat the process a couple of times. If not the idle position sensor could be the problem.

you will probably find the electric steering column lock solenoid is faulty.this needs to be replaced by the dealer.

you can only put the code in if 4 zeros are shown if there are 4 dashes leave the radio on till the 4 zeros show can take over an hour then using the remote next to the steering wheel r/h side use the wheel to move the number up/down to the right number then press the button on the bottem to move to the next number after all numbers press and hold the bottom button to enter the code

sorry, a trip to your renault dealer is required here, it could of lost its code but more likely if it was working but then stopped is that the keycards buggered, half hour labour to programme a keycard
