I am not really sure on older models, but. Hold down the #1 and #4 buttons at the same time, for 5 to 10 seconds. This should get you to the spot or a menu to enter your code.

SOURCE: Lost Key Code to re-set radio in 2001 Ford Expedition.

hi, yeah this is a common problem. And the dealership will charge you about £40 just to reset the radio so they can get the code (thats what they tell you anyway)

if you can take the radio out and post the serial number that is on the side, should start with the letter M****** i should be able to post you the radio code using your serial number.

I would suggest disconnecting the battery, I do not know if you will have to enter a code for the radio, but this will reset everything and fix you problem, it will only take a minute then you can reconnect the battery

well since u used up your limits you may have to pull the whole radio an disconnect from the battery, but you may have also locked it down completely. if you pull it an it still doesnt reset then you will prob need a new radio but i am not sure.

Resetting the radio code in a 1998 falcon

The dealer has to send the radio out to their authorized service rep to hve the EPROM in the radio re-flashed with a new code.

These radios have no master key code. They were designed to be very secure.
