The speed pickup sensor is dirty or bad, or may no longer be connected. Check the wires are on the pickup sensor.

We don't have access to that

If your asking for parts break down &

local trans parts wholesaler & buy the

I have a 2002 buick rendezvours my car won't start

Did the people that told you to change the fuel pump
diagnose the entire electrical system for the fuel pump
or just guess at your expense?

If your the one working on your own car, then I have to say
if you don't have factory diagnostic manuals, wiring diagrams
& experience, not only car repairs but basic electricity, your
in trouble, because you have no reference material & no way
to know where to start testing

After 1996, the car has pretty much gone to the repair shops,
as most people never stayed up with new technology

If the new pump was installed by a repair shop, then you don't
need me to tell you the problem.
The shop failed to properly diagnose & resolve & that may be
what they do alot, as they are not up to speed

My malfunction indicator light came on and won't go off

Read your owners manual

Why would a Malfunction Lamp come on,
& then go off, if you don't diagnose the problem
& make the required repair.

That technology is 30 years old & your not
up to speed?

1988 ford taurus wagon chimes everytime i go 45+ mph and the speed light flashes... what's wrong?

You probably have the speed reminder set to 45mph. It chimes & flashes to let you know you are speeding. It will tell you how to adjust it in your owners manual. If you don't like it set it high eg: 100mph. then it won't happen.

I hooked jumper cables up backwards being in a hurry. I blew the 100 amp main fuse and replaced it. now the lights and blower fan work but the car won't turn over and the clock and radio don't...

It sounds like you blew fuses other than just the main fuse. Hooking the battery up wrong can destroy major components as well, like the starter, battery, Computer, moduals. You might need a good shop....

My 2002 Grand Prix sounds fine upon starting. When I get to 45 mph, it starts to sound as if it's working harder. It's like a loud hum starts and gets louder as it goes up to 60 mph. As I decrease...

Front Wheel Bearing Hub

You will have to remove the brake calipers, hang it,&
remove the rotor, then you can turn the hub & feel the
roughness.

ROCK AUTO.com for parts & look at that hub, so you
match it up the same. Don't get in love with one brand
you like, if the hub looks different at the back where the
speed sensor goes in

You also may find your self buying a torx socket or metric
socket driver to get the speed sensor out. Maybe not

If tools are needed,do yourself a favor & step inside a Snap-On
Truck & just buy one item or so. If you don't ,you won't find those
items anywhere

I have a 2004 Lincoln LS V8 and i need to know what i need to do to get my TCS light to go off

Other than the button on the console which is totally
usless & does nothing (I have the same car)

Most likely you have a bad Wheel Speed Sensor
if you have a dash light on (MIL Lamp)

I don't remember the name of that option but I would never
get it again on any ford product

It is an add-on to the abs braking system & when on a
snowy or icey surface you done
It slams on the rear brakes & cuts out fuel injectors &
you stuck just when you need full control to make your
own choices in snow

The button on the console does nothing & I have the
factory wiring diagrams & can't find the system to
by pass it. I have been at this 47 years, not much
professionally but very involved as a hobby & once
owned a trans repair shop

there is a ABS sensor on the rear differential that also works as a vehicle speed sensor. most likely tkis sensor is causing your concern.
