Burning oil ,no leaks or smoke

how many miles?
can be bad rings.
or bad valve seals.
or both.
do a compression test then a leak down test, and bingo the answer.
if both pass, the valve seals are bad.
if not rings are bad, if the oil test for compression fails the valves them selves are bad, if the teaspoon of oil test , passes the rings are shot.
read up on all compression tests. using google, or by any car engine book, one that tells you how to test for this.

The leak down test, can even tell you which direction the leak happens
using a rubber hose to your ear.
i can hear air leak to crankcase, valve cover oil filler, oil dip stick hole, and to intake plenum and even hear it at exhaust ports. sure can.

one the oil control rings on old engines can stick down and be
near useless. stuck in the lands. seen many like that.

Id use the 2 gauge to judge engine condition,
if bad, its hopeless. (bottom end bad)
if good, all tests. then the valve seals are bad.
there is a way to change them head on car.
using shop air , or other wild tricks.

1998 Grand Marquis. Start goods. idols low. put in gear, stalls out. Changed fuel filter & had injectors serviced. Problem remains. Could it be the Transmission modulator valve?

I would check the operation of the idle speed control valve, it is what changes the idle speed when a load like the transmission is put on the engine, without it the engine will idle slow and stall out, this is even more apparent when reverse gear is selected or drive or the AC is tuned on. The ISC valve is located on the side of the throttle body top of upper intake manifold. Below is a picture of the ISC (idle speed control valve)

2004 gmc yukon lite came on low oil pressure just had oil change 5 days ago checked it was low about a qt. Has 157,000 miles what can be the cause

There can be alot of causes, such as valve covers leaking, oil pan gasket leaking, oil filter leaking, rear main seal leaking, front timing chain cover seal or gasket leaking even bad rings. Does it smoke out of the back? Your valve seals could be leaking. Best way to find out if you have a leak is to inspect the valve covers manually, or take newspapers and lay them under the entire engine on the ground, and it will leave the tell tale stain of a leak. Hope this helps.

How do I change my brake power booster in my 1989 Regency 88? My car does start and runs good, until you put it in gear and hit the brake. My brake petal is very hard to push. It will kill the engine when...

First inspect the vacuum check valve and the booster vacuum grommet for any leaks, even a pin hole in the check valve can also cause that to happen.

If the vacuum line to the booster is tight and has no air leaks, and no air leaks are in the vacuum check valve, then replace the booster unit.

hi if you mean engine core plugs? as we know/call them in uk then yes! both on cyl heads and the more important (largest ) isbehind the flywheel this is the important one due to the cyl blck is the thinnest weaker part of the block/cooling system and should engine block freeze ??then this plug will pop out/leak as ice expands as you know? and consequently leak as ice melts? olso it is suseptible to rusting and eventually seep coolant hope this helps your querie ?
