Sounds like a faulty relay , it's central locking has to have a constant power supply so even without the ignition on it'll activate , location I don't know exactly but pulling/ better replacing relay should fix it , relay for central locking is normally near internal dashboard fusebox

I never thought about this before, it may be normal on some vehicles. I have been able to lock/unlock my 2003 without the key in ignition since it was new.

It sounds like your FOB needs to be reprogrammed, email me at email@example.com around thursday and I will try to email you the programming instructions for that, If I am not able to you will need to call a locksmith with a T-Code or MVP Pro key programmer or DODge to programm your remote to your ECU
