I have got a fault code p1226 on my hilux 2kd 2.5l diesel engine and it mostly appears whem the rev goes down under 1000 and when it appears the engine looses power

P1226 is kind of a generic code for the 2kd engine that says something is wrong in fuel system.
Start by having filter changed then probably check fuel injectors for problem if it persist.

What will be the main cause of engine crank but wont start in a toyota hilux d4d 2007 2kd?

-Couple things that cause NOT to Start:
-Low fuel pressure, low compression, faulty crank or cam sensor,
weak spark.

Good Luck

I recently replaced injectors on a hilux 2KD FTV engine,2007.I understand i need to enter the code appearing on the new units to the ECM.I,ve tried to do so but the error code P1601 EEPROM still appears on...

hilux 2KD FTV , P1601 MEANS:

Type Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled Description ECM Overtemperature
Cause Engine running, then the PCM detected an internal temperature of over 221F or an internal temperature of -58F or over 284F.
SO, it is a PCM error, tep is too high normally, or you can ask the 24 hrs live technical support vas5054a, they will like to help you, good luck

My hilux wont start i replaced a seal on the pump now wont start got fuel to the pump dose not seam to be getting to the injectors

if this is a diesel L or L2 engine chances are you've got trapped air in the steel lines from the injection pump to the injectors loosen- but do not remove- the fitting holding the fuel lines to the injector start/crank the engine until fuel spurts out the loose fittings. tighten fittings. start the engine. this will have the engine running if the problem is trapped air.

Toyota Hilux d4d 2kd-ftv engine, does not rev above 3000 r.p.m

Jambo Jambo. This problem, unfortunately is going to be in the fuel injector pump itself. If the veins are wearing it will begin to fail at high RPMs when the fuel demand is high. You are on the right track though. It is fuel. Replace the injector pump and time accordingly. Feel free to contact me if you need anything else.
