Did you change the Spark Plugs too? The coil is new you said. Might want to thing about replacing all the Spark Leads to new ones, they may be dead, just replace them all, even the main one.

Why car will run then once shut off wont start again, at a later date it may start again and drive S IF NOTHIng is wrong. It will just spin a couple days later it may start again. checked gas-good also...

did u inspec condition of plug wires-they wear from heat etc-take that distributer cap off n I bet inside looks like dental decay--the ignition module is equal to the points and it fails-its under the cap n can be tested at a parts place

HI,HANNAH,I SUSPECT YOU HAVE AN IMMOBILIZER PROBLEM.IF THERE IS A ORANGE LIGHT FLASHING ON THE CLUSTER WITH AKEY IN IT THEN IT IS THE IMMOBILIZER.THE PROBLEM WOULD MORE LIKELY BE THE DATA FROM THE KEY IS NOT GETTING TO THE IMMOBILIZER CONTROL UNIT,USUALLY A BAD CONNECTION AT THE READER COIL ON THE IGNITION.YOU MUST CLOSE THE TERMINALS SLIGHTLY AND INSULATE THE WIRING SEPERATELY.ANDY
