when it does not run check for spark if you have spark check fuel pressure. it as to be one of them for it not to start. I have a 1991 civc with 1.5 4cly doing the same thing. need more information to help more
Knocking is produced due to the following reasons:
- Contaminated fuel.
- Restricted or purged fuel line.
- Fuel pump pressure too high.
- Clogged Fuel Injectors.
- Ignition timing too early.
- Wrong heat range and air gaps of the spark plugs.
- Excessive carbon accumulation in the combustion chamber.
- Knock sensor.
- Brake system.
How many miles are on it? Did you have the timing belt changed at 90,000 miles? Is there spark to the spark plugs? Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? A broken timing belt will make the car sound alot different than normal when cranking.
COULD BE STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER.CHECK FUEL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 48 PSI. IF LOWER HONDA ADVISE TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER.YOU HAVE TO REMOVE FUEL PUMP THROUGH ACCESS PANEL FROM THE FLOOR.IF FUEL PRESSURE OKAY.REPLACE AIR FILTER.REPLACE SPARK PLUGS IF YOU HAVE OVER 110000 MILES ON THEM.IF SPARK PLUGS BEEN CHANGED ALREADY.IF ENGINE STILL WONT CRANK AND IDLE.CODE SCAN FOR A FAULTY IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE.
did you tried to instal a new difernt power line to chek the fuel pump work? or do you chek if have pulses on the inyector rail or sparks in the spark plugs wires? maybe a fuse blow in fusebox or main fuse.i hope be helpfull
Hi I'm litoshop first you have to check for spark on the spark plugs if you have spark then check for fuel pressure if fuel pressure is ok the check if the in injector are pulsing these are the main ingredients check for this first good luck if this information has been helpful please let us know thank you
check the oil and make sure it's NOT black, Check air filter, oil filter, and gas filter, check engine fuse, see if spark plugs are ok, check starter, check alternator and belt. if problem still persists please contact me at email@example.com
Try a honda civic forum online or maybe autozones free auto repair information site online. Check your fuel pressure, spark, timing and air flow meter. When was the last time the car was tuned up? Check air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap+rotor and the ignition timing. Check for loose or corrosion around and or on contact points of wiring ( power, ground, and your spark plug wires if theres any sign of wear or corrosion.) Make sure fuel is fresh and not stale from aging over time.
