How do you know the sensor is good? Has it been tested? You may need to have it reprogrammed or the TPMS module that reads the sensors may be defective

How to remove a cylinder head for a 1964 Austin Healey 3000 safe ?

Drain water out of engine . remove the rocker cover . remove the rocker shaft and rocker assembly . lift out the push rods ( check if rods are the same length and if not check that you keep them in the right sequence for reassembly) . remove inlet and exhaust manifold . Undo the head bolts and lift off the head. Search the web for the manual or cruise the used book shops/ libraries for the manual as you will need it for the settings and torque specs.. Austin engines had little change between vehicles up to 1964

1964 292 engine how to set the points gap what is involved

There are feeler gauges (extremely thin) to adjust the points gap. First find the proper gap for your model vehicle, and then purchase a gauge. these gauges have something like 10 different thicknesses, for different points, so make sure it includes the exact gap that you need. I remember in my youth adjusting the gap with cigarette wrapper paper, it seemed to have the proper thickness to get you out of dodge. Also remember that you have to rotate the engine until the points are in the open position, in order to adjust them.

hi no not really a new distributor, have you tried adjusting the idle screw on the carb? or even on the cable? you might find it could be something as simple as them two things, a frayed cable could cause it, or just the idle screw on the carburetor might need adjusting, also if it has a mixture adjustment screw on the carb could also do it, well there is a couple of things to try first.....hope that helps

What is distributor timing for 1964 buick skylark 300 motor

The timing is 2 1/2 degrees BTDC. The point gap is .016 and the dwell is 30. To set the dwell turn the adjusting screw clockwise until the engine starts to misfire and then back it off 1/2 turn. Hope this helps.
