two things to mind, sometimes when you get a new clutch it comes with blocks in pressure plate there put in there from the factory for shipping purposes, they have to be removed otherwise it will do what you discribe. secound if you got the wrong length throwout bearing will do it to. most likely its one or the other. if you sure everything is right as far as clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing, than the only other thing i can say it could be is slave cyl. bad. hope this helps. I currently have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, and the clutch pedal does not return all the way. I know it is not the clutch, it is actually the spring located underneath the pedal. It is catching and not releasing after pushed.... Hope it helps.

had a recent same problem. would push the clutch all the way to floor and it still would only partially disengage causing hard shifting and forcing thru all gears. solution: underneath dash on drivers side is the clutch pedal adjustment rod. u will h ave to loosen the lock nut and then readjust the pedal. you will want the pedal to come closer to the driver (out) making the stroke on the pedal longer. now mine shifts easily. hopes this helps. firstname.lastname@example.org
