Question about Cars & Trucks

I have a 2007 dodge nitro and I'm having trouble with the heat/ac controls, it's like I have no power going to them, the one to control the fan motor works fine other then it doesn't light up, the others two I get nothing, no lights and can't control temperature or where it goes( little bit coming out of all vents right now) good thing is it's cold here right now and atleast it's stuck on heat

Some of the dodges had a recall on the blend actors you might consider contacting a dealership to see if yours has a recall

if the motor worked intermittently this sounds like the blower motor is bad and needs replacing.

Blower motor only works on low and medium on 2007 dodge nitro

You replaced the resistor and WHAT relay? The blower motor circuit on a 2007 Dodge Nitro does not use a relay.

The blower resistor gets it's power from the A/C - heater control unit.

If you check for voltage at the blower motor resistor connector (Key on, relay disconnected), the DARK BLUE/GREY wire should be hot when the control switch is on HIGH. The DARK BLUE/VIOLET wire should be hot with the switch in the MEDIUM 2 position. The DARK BLUE/ORANGE wire should be hot with the switch in the MEDIUM 1 position. The DARK BLUE/BROWN wire should be hot with the switch on LOW.

If any of these are not as stated above, then you either have a bad A/C - heater control unit, or faulty wiring between the control unit and the resistor.

It is -40 today and for the first time ever, my blower motor will not turn on. I have no defrost, no heat. Help!

the fan either is frozen, or it is bad. if the fuses and relay are ok. and there is power to fan resistor. change resistor to see if this is the problem. go to any auto parts store and they will tell you where resistor and blower fan are auto zone etc. if resistor is bad then no power to motor.

2007 NITRO DODGE FRONT DRIVER & PASSENGER

could be but unless you actually check with Chrysler motor corp or you local dealership you wont know for sure. a Service bulletin is usually issued to dealership by the manufacturer if they identify a common problem. Just check with you r local dealer and all will be good in the end.
