Reset the service light after oil change on a 2007 BMW 750Li

BMW insp. reset

- Iginition OFF (POS 0)

- Press and Hold the trip odometer button while turning key to position 1 (ACCESSORY)

- Keep the button depressed (about 5 secs.) until you see "Oil Service" or "Inspection" with "Reset" or "Re" in the display

- *Note: On vehicles with "High" cluster, you will also see the amount of fuel (in litres) remaining until next service

- Press the button again and hold for approx. 5 secs. until "Reset" or "Re" flashes

- While the display is flashing, briefly press the button again to reset the Service Interval. After the display has shown the new interval you should see "END SIA" for about 2 secs.

Note that if the "Reset" or "Re" does not flash, then you have not met the minimum consumption level and cannot reset.

I have a 2006 750LI (35k miles) with the following alarm problem; the alarm has started to go off without a cause. Within 3-5mins of locking the car, either by remote or easy access, the siren/lights go...

well the problem could be that you have a window down because bmw 7 series have the motion detector in the cars and wind can trip off the alarm. that could be the only thing i can think of that can be the problem. just try rolling up all the windows and close the sun roof.

BMW 2004 745LI alarm Keeps going off randomly when parked. My alarm button on my key is not being depressed or obstructed. I can be in a restaurant with my car parked outside and have to go out 4-5 times...

when the hood is "open"you cannot set the alarm so it will go off as it thinks someone is trying to steal it.make sure both catches are operating correctly,a bmw dealer will (should)do the job for nothing(goodwill)my wife always asks nicely......ours is a 1987 3 series coupe...with full dealer history.

1999 BMW 740i The alerm is too sensitive, starts in parking structures, or even on the street.

there should be a sensetivity nob on the alarm box itself turn that down and your problem should be solved if not just invest in a new alarm.
