How to ARM and Disarm a self contained ALARM system

The self contained unit seems to be working in that it makes noise when it detects motion and I believe I have the correct PIN. However, I don't seem to have the instruction. Also, the manufacturer has a forum but does not accept new registrations. I have searched the NET for a manual or someone who knows the few simple steps to press the ARM and DISARM buttons. At present, the only way I can find to ARM and DISARM is to insert and remove the battery. Any suggesions would be appreciated. http://www.sdsmarket.com/HA_125_Infrared_Motion_Detector_Security_Alaram_p/ha-125.htm There is a 60 second delay after arming for sensor warm up and exit delay. When activated, the alarm cycles twice with 30 or 60 second rest in between. The duration of the alarm can be programmed for 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or 90 seconds. Re-entry Delay can be programmed to prevent alarm from going off for 15 seconds, 8 seconds, or zero seconds giving you time to disarm the unit.

SOURCE: Spy car alarm, remotes wont arm the alarm system after my car battery went flat?

for security reasons this is difficult to reset usually the car and remotes need to be set up again. it happens when the car loses power so if the car is stolen or imobilised the car forgets the key codes.
take the car to a dealer or Machanic shop. prove to them it is your car and they will set the remotes back up for you.

i hope this was useful

SOURCE: DSE wireless security alarm and door chime

Hi. The default code is usually 0 0 0.

To Program a new code
Enter 000 and press the "PROG" button
Enter your new code (between 1 and 6 digits long) and press the "PROG" button again. The unit should beep twice to confirm that the new code has been stored

Alarm keeps going off

The alarm might be setting to sensitve motions detecting mode, this setting,if u come close to the car or slicely taps or touch it the alarm will go off. This setting it is not good for the car as the motions detection sensors over time will get old and will go off at anything causes some presure even slice wind just past by the car.Take ur car to the alarm tech. check it out for the motions detection sensors again change to mormal setting not sensitve mode this setting mode it actually the best, because the normal setting the door have to open before the alarm will go off.Or the alarm tech have do a replacing a new alarm unit it self, because the detection motion sensors can not do a readjustment or resetting the setting any more.

My 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo wont start, everytime I try to start it, it makes this loud noise like a buzzing sound, and then the security light starts flashing and the brights light starts flashing...

If your battery has not been drained, try unlocking the lift gate or the passenger side door. That should disarm the alarm. You may need to get a jump if you're getting the flashing lights.

Another thing it does is to shut off your fuel pump. If you get it started after trying the above procedure, the issue is definitely your alarm system.

It is armed whenever you normally leave your car (using power locks seems to arm it on my 94 GCL.

There is a permanant disarming procedure on FixYA but it is pretty radical -- you have to find one of the wires that sends the signal to the alarm system from one of your door locks and ground it.

How to take automate car alarm off silent mode

{: ) When armed, the content theft deterrent (CTD) system is designed to deter vehicle content theft by pulsing the horns and exterior lamps for approximately 30 seconds when an unauthorized vehicle entry is detected.

An unauthorized entry can be any of the following with the CTD system armed:
• When any door is opened without first being unlocked using the keyless entry transmitter • After a battery reconnect, if the battery was disconnected with the CTD system armed
Disarming an Armed System/Silencing an Alarm
If system arming has been requested by the power door lock switch or the keyless entry transmitter, it must be disarmed.
Important: Using the power door unlock switch or manually unlocking the doors does not disable the content theft deterrent (CTD) arm mode. Also, disconnecting the battery or pulling fuses does not disable the arm mode, since the BCM stores the CTD mode status in memory.
• To disarm the CTD system in standby mode, perform one of the following: - Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter. - Insert a valid key into the ignition and switch to the ON position. • To disarm the CTD system in the armed mode (non-event) or when activated (during an alarm event): - Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter. - Insert a valid key into the ignition and switch to the ON position Locking the Vehicle Without Arming the CTD System Locking the vehicle may be accomplished without arming the content theft deterrent (CTD) system. Use of the manual door locks or using the key to lock the doors will lock the vehicle, but will not arm the CTD system.

96 camero wont crank alarm ingaged

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The antitheft system in your car is controlled by a computer. Scanning the computer will give you some idea of what has failed. It is an integral part of your car and cannot be disconnected. If your alarm goes off constantly or does not armed by it:

Does the alarm arm and disarm properly? If it does proceed, if it doesn't, then have it checked by your installer.

1. Check and make sure your dome light is not staying on. If it is make sure all doors are closed and/or the dome light switch is not turned on.
2. Check your sensor. Make sure they are not too sensitive. They can cause false alarm and also cause the system not to arm by itself.
3. The alarm current sensing might be detecting voltage drop from the battery of the car or current draw from equipment (maybe left on).

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

05 Dakota remote wont work

That happened to mine too. Is it a "Karr" remote? If so, it seems as if they use really cheap switches. I ended up de-soldering a working switch from the trunk release circuit and soldering it onto the alarm arm/disarm circuit. Works perfectly now. If you don't own a soldering iron, I recommend getting a new one or getting a better alarm system.
