This could be as simple as overfilling your gas tank, loose gas cap, or a loose connector somewhere. Then again, it could be a bad oxygen sensor, maf sensor, fuel injector, or intake manifold. Have you scanned the truck for any engine codes?

Running the engine while the check engine light is flashing can cause severe damage. You can burn valves or cat converters up and such. Catch it now before you need a new engine.

Is this a 5.7? They are notorious for intake manifold gasket leaks. When mine did it, the diagnostics blamed it on an ignition misfire also! Replaced the gaskets and it runs smooth!

The oil lines going to the radiator is your transmission cooler lines, you will look for a smaller radiator and its connections, usually connected using an oil filter adapter.

2001 ford ranger oil pan gasket removal?

Remove the engine mount pin and carefully raise the engine yup as far as possible, be sure to use a large block of soft wood like pin under the pan so you won't damage it. Remove all the pan bolts, You do not have to remove the oil pan completely. With the pan lowered, remove the old gasket completely and take the new gasket and pull it around the bottom of the pan an pull it up to the engine. Basically wrap it around the oil pan. It you have the gasket that is plastic with rubber seal inserted in it, it is easier. It has clips that hold it to the pan and stays in place when lifting the pan back to the engine. Also add silicone in the corners on the front and rear bearing caps.

How do you remove the oil pan on 2001 grand prix

Remove the motor mount bolts on both sides. Using a jack & wood block, jack the engine high enough to allow the pan clearance enough for removal. Use wood blocks(4 by 4) at motor mounts & lower engine mounts onto the blocks. Lower & remove jack & block at jack. Remove pan bolts & carefully using a large pry bar or common screwdriver pry the pan away from engine . Good luck!

Loosen motor mount bolts holding engine to mounts. Raise engine enough to remove pan. use 4x4 wood blocks to hold engine up so you can let it down on the blocks. Use wood block between jack & engine when lifting!

2001 VW Passat AUG Oil Pump replacement - how to get around support beam

Best thing to do is to undo the engine mounts and lift the engine up. You can use an ond seat belt and a strong peice of wood that will fit accross the engine bay. You can use a tie-down ratchet as well to lift up the engine as it will make things easier. then you'll have more room to remove the pan. Cheers.

There is a freeze plug located on the engine block behind the bell housing thats prob leaking . sory the only way to get to it is to pull the engine.
