Question about 1992 Nissan Sentra 4 Door
I need help putting my front seats back in. my dad had took them out and he has passed away and me and my brother are trying to put it back together. the holes for the seat wont line up?? am I missing something all I have are the bolts
Pull the handle as if the seat were installed and you were going to move it forward or back. They will slid back and forth on the seat so you can align the holes. set both sides even once you get the correct line up. After you put in front or rear 2 bolts then slide seat to install the other 2. Hope this helps Mike

There are 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor. 2 in front and 2 in rear. You will need 14mm socket and ratchet or wrench. You will also have to unplug some connectors under the seat, before you take it out of the car.

SOURCE: front seat 1998 pathfinder
I had this problem with my Pathfinder and it was a coin jammed in the rail of the seat. My coin was on the right side of the seat blocking it from moving. This has happened to me twice. I took a tool to get it out it was pretty hard to see but you shouldn't have to remove the seat to get it out.

SOURCE: front seat locked in recline,
I just bought a 2005 Nissan Altima that had the same problem. You really can't bring the seat back up without removing the motor and manually turning the metal rod. The motor in my case was fine. I opened the switch and found that a trace on the small circuit board was cut/missing. I soldered it on the spot and it solved the problem. You can access the switch by carefully prying off the switch buttons, then the plate. There are two screws that must be removed so that you can pull the switch assembly out of the seat.
