Your best option if you plan to DIY, is to obtain a copy of the Chilton's manual for your vehicle.

Code P0706 transmission control module repair cost

You just don't throw a part on, If the problem is the transmission range selector switch (not the control module) the cost to repair will be around $250.00
P0706 AUDI - Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Range Performance
Possible causes- Open or short park/neutral position switch circuit
- Poor park/neutral position switch circuit connection
- Misadjusted park/neutral position switch
- Park/neutral position switch may be faulty
When is the code detected? The transmission range switch detects the selector lever position and sends a signal to the TCM.

Airbag light stays on in a 2003 audi a6 i've replaced airbag module & drivers seatbelt

You need to access the Airbag ECU (Electronic Control Module) using suitable diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car in order to erase all faults - DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored, unlock and reset the Airbag ECU. Then the Airbag light will turn OFF after approx. 4 seconds, ignition ON.
Good Luck!

I have a audi 6 year 2007 the gear stick is stuck in park what could be the problem ?

Two sensors are provided for engine starting authorization: The first one is placed on the automatic gearbox shift selector electronic module, which send a signal to the ignition switch barrel only if the shift knob is placed in park - "P" position, or in neutral - "N" position. Only now you can take out the ignition key from the ignition switch barrel. The second one is the brake pedal switch placed above brake pedal in the pedals bracket, which send a signal to the ignition switch barrel only if the brake pedal is depressed. Only now it is possible to cranking the engine by the electrical starter motor.
I recommend you to access the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Transmission Control Module (TCM) memory using suitable diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car in order to pull out all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Then you will be full informed about the root cause of the problem, and you will be able to repair & replace bad pieces, and reset the ECM and TCM. Then you will can start the engine.

Battery dies on 2003 A4 audi

HI there,

I had the same problem with mine. Managed to determine that it was the rear brake light switch that caused a short. This meant that once the car was turned off power was being drained. We thought it might be the computer module shutting down which can take up to 10/30 minutes. But No. Replaced with a new Brake Light Switch, Problem Solved

Power windows, sunroof, interior lights not working. Fuse?

I just saw your posting. Yes, It could be a fuse, a 10amp interior light fuse BUT... I had to replace the Central Locking Control module which toasted first... I had the 3 open door, no working lights/windows situation too...

The problem seems to be in the main cabin light which has the 3 way rocker switch. Turn this off (depress the side on the driver side of the car (US)). Check the 10 amp fuse for the interior light. If it is burnt, you are OK if its not, you need to replace the Central Locking module. ~$200 US

I still have not replaced the cabin light module where I think a short is. If I replace the fuse in question, and turn the cabin light on, it "pulses" for a few minutes and then cooks the fuse.

Can't locate where the cruise control module is on 2002 Audi S4.

After a certain model year, the module above the glovebox disappeared and the controls it contained were built into the car's computer. If your cruise in your S4 is failing, it's most likely the combination switch (the stalk on the column) - it fails on virtually every B5-chassis Audi at some point (I'm about to install my third one on my 99 A4). Get that part, install it, and you should be good to go.
