Question about 2002 Volvo V70
Central locking works on all doors but not drivers. what would cause this, and how do you fix it?
If the overall system is working buy just not the drive's door, I would suspect a problem with that door's solenoid. Either a broken or disconnected wire or the solenoid has failed.

You have a broken latch that you will need to access from inside the car. Remove the door panel carefully and have a magnetic pickup tool handy to fish in the bottom of the door for any parts that fell to the bottom when the latch let go. To cheat, remove the door panel from the rear door too and you can see what is missing from the broken one.

SOURCE: v70 drivers door lock
There's a magnetic switch for each of the doors which works with the remote. The one in your door is bad. Get it fixed, or live with the inconvenience. Price is probably way under $100.

its the programming in the modules. the door switches are modules as are every other switch or pretty much anything with a wire going to it.transfer over your old electrics a recheck. its possible to corrupt the whole cars programming by switching out used stuff from another vehichle. very exspensive to fix
