Take out lots of screws and plastic parts. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove old lights. Install new lights. put plastic parts and electrical connectors back the way they came apart. Don't forget any screws or bulbs.

The shift indicator light does not work on my 1996 lincoln cartier

You have to remove the instrument cluster where the speed odometer is . Then take the cover off the back the light is inside.
You might have to take it apart as see what bulb is in there. It should be a G3.5 Miniature Automotive Bulb. 25370334-rswn2eye4grzyd2n11rnmty4-2-0.jpg

How do I change the odometer bulb in a 2003 odyssey?

First you have to remove the combination meter set ( Odometer and RPM meter plus the temperature and fuel gauges) from the dash board by unscrewing 3 or 4 screws. Bend you head down and look above your meter set, you will see the screws holding the meters. Pull out the meter set and unplug the cables behind the meters. The bulbs are there. Remove the bulbs by turning the holder and replace the faulty bulb/s accordingly.

Speed odometer won't work and transmission won't change gears

You probably have a check engine light staying on too. My first guess would be the speed sensor on the transmission but I would check for trouble codes first.

Lights or fuse for my speed odemeter guage and heater/air conditioning system

These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.

The odometer and clock light are not working. how do i fix this?

You will have to remove the clock to get access to change that bulb. As for the odometer, you will also have to remove the entire dash cluster, it's a one piece unit, to change that one bulb.
