check that the variable blades in the turbine housing are free to move with the actuator working correctly. These move to direct the exhaust gas onto the turbine wheel at low engine RPM to reduce the lag time for a turbo to respond. If they are stuck or the actuator is not working (hard leaking vacuum hose) then it will not allow quick response at low speeds

Try adding a quart of lucas transmission fix or lucas transmission fluid conditioner....
It could be mtible things though: Transmission pump, filter / screen, Shift solinoid 1,2 or 3, tcc solinoid or pissibly the pressure control solinoid...
You should go to a parts store and get a diagnostics computer reading to see what the problem is....

I replaced the starter on a 1999 Chev Cavilier but when I went to start the car the starter kept trying to start the car even though the car was already running. I think i may have crossed one or a couple...


hi, i think you have put the MAIN HEAVY CABLE direct to the STARTER MOTOR on the SOLINOID. this will keep the starter motor running. take battery lead NEGATIVE CABLE OFF the BATTERY, and change the MAIN HEAVY CABLE from the SOLINOID terminal to the other MAIN terminal on the SOLINOID and NORMALLY it SHOULD go with a SLIGHTY (smaller cable this GO'S to the FUSEBOX rest of car POSITIVE FEED). the other small wire is the solinoid START WIRE. the solinoid has 2 circuits the first circuit is HEAVY BATTERY LEAD to 1 terminal on the solinoid. the other side of the solinoid HEAVY CABLE to STARTER MOTOR. this is only 1 side of the SOLINOID (THIS IS A VERY VERY HEAVY SWITCH). the other side of the SOLINOID is the START SIDE (REMOTE CONTACT) of the SOLINOID, by turning the IGNITION KEY to STARTER POSITION, this operates the SOLINOID. this makes contact to run the starter motor. once the connections are done REPLACE NAGATIVE BATTERY LEAD and start the car. gerry

My rear driver side door will not lock using the keyless entry, i have to manually push it down for all the others doors to lcok & activate the alarm.


There is a solinoid in your door that actuates the locking mechanism. If one of the wires is loose, or somehow disconnected it will not work. Since the others work, unless your car has a fuse for each door, the problem will not be a fuse. It could be that the solinoid in that door is burned and requires replacement. A test light on the solinoid contact when trying to lock it will demonstrate whether there is power TO the solinoid. If there IS power to the solinoid, the solinoid is bad, if there is NOT power to the solinoid, you must find the disconnect. Usually it is one or both of the wires connected TO the solinoid.

1995 nissan maxima doesnt start when cold, just clicks, and after trying for 5 to 10 minutes it finally starts... Please help me out...


it is one of two things.
  • the starter is either worn and brushes not making contact or an engine oil leak onto the starter. thus keeping the brushes from making contact you can check this by banging on the starter while someone trys turning the ignition back and forth to start.(making the click click click)

  • ignition switch is weak, not providing enough voltage from the to kick the soliniod all the way to start the starter

The way to check that is to hot wire the starter soliniod little wire, to battery voltage. (the big cable on the solinoid)
If it turns over good, then you can either replace the ignition switch or install a relay someware near the starter to supply it with propper current to kick the solinoid all the way to engage the motor.
The relay acts as a remote starter switch that feeds more direct power to the starter solinoid.Now the only thing the ignition switch is responsible for, is trigger the relay.

I have a cadillac 2002 dhs. It has an idling problem!


You MUST determine ("Due to Check Eng. Light") What the Code / Codes are stored in Computer , as they May Lead us DIRECTLY to the Problem.
Having Said that and with & In my Experience, the Throttle Bodies, AND the EGR Valves Get "CARBONE FILTH " Badly and Block Passages that Are in the "IDLE" Circuit of Throttle Body
side, and In the EGR Valve side of things it causes VACUUM LEAKS @ EGR Valve, This Requires physically Removal of and the Cleaning of these parts by hand. Also the IAC> Idle Air Control Solinoid Can Cause this too Or a Mix of All 3, BUT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Car wont start after it gets warm


This is a Problem with the Starter Solinoid. You can get a New Solinoid with a New Starter and it will fix this Problem. Also check and see it your Mustang has a Heat Shield around the Starter. If not see if you can get one. The Prob is that when the Motor gets Warmed up the Starter Solinoid is Absorbing the Heat from the Block and Freezing up. I never heard of a starter solonoid coming with shims. Did you replace the starter or starter solonoid?
What engine do you have?
