Your problem seems to be with either the controller itself or a short in the system...sometimes the wires come loose from the bracket-
You have to remove the steering column housing-ti can be tricky remember that your steering can be adjusted- follow the wires from your signal arm to the connection- try unplugging and plugging back in...if this doesnt fix the issue you may need to replace the whole arm...it may have a retaining pin if so remove it then pull arm out-
if it doesnt it will be a compression fitting - remove as above- replace with known working or new arm!

SOURCE: wipers do not work in intermittent position. They do work in low and high speeds but do not automatically return to the park position. They stop wherever you turn the switch off.

i belive that your wiper switch has gone out on the intermittent side. this is a very common problem.
I hope this helps you

Does it have the rain sensor (behind the mirror). Sometimes the rain sensor module comes loose.
Otherwise probably the wiper motor, which has the park limit switch in it, needs to be replaced.

At the base of the wiper arm there is a plastic cap,pop this off ,underneath there is a nut that holds the arm in place ,if it gets loose the post will turn inside the blade.Just turn the wipers off and tighten the nuts with the blade in the parked position.

During a recent snowstorm, the weight of the snow was apparently too much for the rear wiper. It stopped mid-stream and is stuck. Simultaneously, the intermittent function of the front wipers also quit. ...

Check fuse no. 11 (10A) in the driver's under dash fuse/relay box. I suspect it is blown. It provides power for the rear wiper, both washers, and the intermittent wiper function for front and rear. It probably blew when your rear wiper got stuck.

Wipers won't stop wiping.

Sounds like your intermittent wiper circuit is defective. Normally the intermittent feature is engaged by one of the functions on the multi-function switch (usually on the steering column). The circuit of the intermittent wiper periodically activates a relay that closes across the "Wiper On" switch. Your intermittent wiper circuit is likely defective and holding its relay closed (or the relay is stuck closed), thereby keeping the wipers on. Note: The wiper motor has an internal switch that opens when the wipers are in the park position and that is designerd to stop the wipers in the park position. When you turn on the wipers (or the intermittent relay is closed), the motor's internal switch is shunted such that the wiper does not stop at the park point of the cycle.
